I hope you find Jesus at the end of the bottle…bag…syringe…when you need a friend Jesus is always there to assist you in the end…He is the sinner’s best friend.

One thing I have learned from being part of selling…buying…or using drugs…is it usually ends with one of three things given enough time and exposure to the drug scene:

1. You will become a junkie…one addicted to his own supply…

2. You will end up in jail…police will eventually catch you…or you will make a mistake…

3. You will end up an act of violence…people will rob you for your drugs or money…

So…are you a Junkie? Are you a useless junkie? You living on the street or with friends…living to fill your body with junk again? Do you have free will? Do you have any family left or have you lied…stolen…cheated…your way out of their life?

You ever been to jail for drugs…for Jesus…for love…family? Do you have any evidence to convict you of being a Christian…a Junkie…or you falsely accused like Jesus and have enough evidence to prove you are a Christian?

All my Heroes have been to jail for doing the right thing by Jesus…Jesus was arrested and accused of being a devil…Peter…James…John…Barnabas…Paul…all have been falsely accused of being unruly even though they had done nothing wrong and have harmed no one…other than preaching Jesus Christ good news of peace and reconciliation with God…Are you one of Jesus’s disciples…a Hero or are you a Zero?

Mat 5:9-12…Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God. 10 Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye when men shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you.

In today’s time…in current society…people are not friendly with the good news of Jesus Christ…we need to pray and preach to reach these lost souls who do not understand and know the Sinner’s Best friend named Jesus Christ of Nazareth…He can take that ugly right out of you…we have to forgive the ugly in someone else…because God has to forgive the ugly in us…Jesus said unless you forgive you cannot be forgiven…Jesus said blessed are the merciful for they will obtain mercy.

Father…please meet our soul’s deepest needs…heal our soul’s deepest wounds…heal our flesh and spirit…and may we prosper and be in health as our soul prospers…In Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

I hope you find Jesus at the end of the bottle…bag…syringe…

Do you have faith of a dog…

Mat 15:21-28 ASV And Jesus went out thence, and withdrew into the parts of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And behold, a Canaanitish woman came out from those borders, and cried, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon. 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she cries after us. 24 But he answered and said, I was not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 But she came and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26 And he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs. 27 But she said, Yea, Lord: for even the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it done unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was healed from that hour.

This woman was born or lived in the land of idolatry…more than likely had worshipped the wrong person and her daughter was cursed not healed but heard of Jesus the son of David…Many of us are in the same type of circumstances…asking who is the real Jesus…She was living before Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead, you and I can obey the Author of Salvation because we live after His death, burial, resurrection and ascension…she had to find Him…get an audience with Him…plead her request…the disciples would not even grant her an audience with Jesus but said send her away…Jesus stated His purpose while on Earth…seek the lost sheep or the nation of Israel…not idolators.

She humbled herself and said even a dog needs help from the Master of masters…Jesus said to her you are dog under my table…she said I am still your dog…Jas 4:6-7 ASV But he giveth more grace. Wherefore the scripture saith, God resists the proud, but giveth grace to the humble. 7 Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

This woman one of two Jesus said has great faith…asked…seeked…even knocked saying your dog is at Your feet not under Your table. She did as it is written now…Mat 7:7-14 ASV Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 for every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone; 10 or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? 12 All things therefore whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, even so do ye also unto them: for this is the law and the prophets. 13 Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby. 14 For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it.

Are you struggling with a devil…like this woman was? Do you know Jesus can you get an audience…have you asked…have you sought after Him hungering and thirsting for what is right…have you knocked on His door or worshipped Him by faith at His feet?

Think about it the only thing is distance if you have been baptized into Christ…we can approach Jesus by faith in prayer just like this “pet dog” under His table…not sitting at His table.

Father…please heal our soul, spirit, and flesh so we may be whole and choose to obey Your Only Human Fathered Son born of a virgin…please remove anything which hinders us from obeying the Truth in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Do you have faith of a dog…

Biblical Authority of Direct Command, Approved Example, and Necessary Inference:

Proof Text: Luke 10:25-37

Luke 10 25:37, “And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.”

Outline of Argument

I. What did Jesus do and teach to inherit eternal life?

A. He gives an answer to a question

1. Jesus knows this is to trip Him up in doctrine but loves the man anyways

a. He knows this guy wants to see Him fail and prove Himself false

b. He knows he is a lawyer and does not want to change but for things to stay the same

c. Jesus realizes there is hope and so loves this lawyer trying to destroy his influence

2. He is asked, not out of sincerity but the man wanted to justify himself

a. The man gives and receives all the right answers but then carries the conversation to a different level by justifying himself with this question who is my neighbor

b. He takes care of those he knows or that take care of him (as all men do)

c. Jesus tells a story to illustrate it is not about teaching the law but doing the law that matters if you seriously want to inherit eternal life you will have to love your neighbor as yourself.

3. Jesus loves the man as himself and teaches him a higher truth

a. He gave an example of loving your neighbor and asks a question to check understanding.

b. Justifying himself, he learned to help the needy,

c. Jesus tells a lawyer to practice the law and not teach the law. His neighbor may be the vilest thing but if he has need then love him.

B. He gives an example to lay alongside the higher truth

1. He tells a story of a man beaten and robbed of every thing except the life he clings to

a. He gave an example of a man (real or unreal), perhaps this had happened earlier that day, but this man had been beaten robbed of everything but his life that he was clinging on to.

b. These thieves don’t check pedigree, or status other than if you have money. They have seriously injured a man and overtook him and his possessions.

c. Illustration.

2. He tells of a priest, Levite, and a Samaritan half breed meet the injured man

a. The Priest, in that day your connection to God, walks by an ignores the robbed man.

b. The Levite, the modern minister deacon, etc. take care of the church duty keeper, walks by and ignores the situation.

c. A half breed less than human, walks by and helps supply everything he needs.

3. The less than human, loves the man and saves him from further destruction

a. Picks him up- he has personal contact with a sinful man God did not protect

b. Pours in Oil – he bandaged this guy up best he could an takes him to a place of comfort.

c. Anything more – he says help to the inn keeper, he may need a few more days, if he stays any longer or needs anything else I will repay. He bore another’s burden.

C. He gives a direct command to obey an approved example

1. He gives a direct command to go and do likewise.

a. He had to love his neighbor as himself to inherit eternal life to the level of the example of helping a half human back to health.

b. He used a “sinner” example of the Samaritan, to teach a lawyer how to love the “undesirables”.

c. This lawyer must help sinners in need if he wants to inherit eternal life, not teach law.

2. The example of Jesus proves the direct command, necessary inference, and approved example doctrine as true here in this parable and example of Jesus.

a. Jesus commanded to obey an approved example (Approved Example)

b. Jesus gave a direct command expecting obedience (Direct Command)

c. Jesus inferred he would have to supply another needs from what he has (Necessary Inference)

3. What did Jesus make binding on this insincere man, in order to answer his original question What must I do to inherit eternal life?

A direct command

An approved example

A Necessary inference
