- It is human to error but Divine to forgive.
It is human to error but Divine to forgive. The Scribes and the Pharisees For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no wise (in no wisdom) enter into the kingdom of heaven...Matthew 5:20. The Scribes Description In Jesus day a copy of the Religious Laws or Books of the Bible had to be hand written. If you wanted a scroll of, say Isaiah or Jerimiah then you would have had to have a hand written copy. The Scribes were the people which copied the Law for others to have a copy. They would have an original and a person would read the original Book…while those hearing the reading would handwrite a copy of the original scroll. These people were not the Priests but knew the Law because they hand wrote it. These people would offer their opinions on the matter and become religious leaders…people would follow all their ways instead of what the Priest would say. These people were called Scribes. The Pharisees Description The Pharisees…were not so fair you see…means literally a separatist. The considered themselves to be more righteous because of their own teaching which did not come from the Priests. The Priest should have been doing the services in the temple and the preaching not the Pharisees. The nation Israel was under rule of the Roman Empire and the Romans used the Pharisees to control the Jewish Religion. The Priests should have been doing the preaching and the teaching but Israel had been disobedient and was under the Roman’s rule. These scribes and Pharisees were doing the teaching and ruling of the Jewish people…the Romans did not care about the truth but only peace and allowed Jews to rule Jews and the Pharisees were on center stage about being righteous before God with all their own Judgements…they took the place of the Priests which should have been doing service and the preaching and the teaching for God. The Pharisees were known for their righteous opinions…Jesus said do what they tell you and you will be more righteous than they are for they say the Law but do not do what they say…in other words they do not apply with mercy and sound judgement. Jesus warning to the scribes and Pharisees Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! (those which are actors) for you tithe mint and anise and cummin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy, and faith: but these you ought to have done, and not to have left the other undone. You blind guides, that strain out the gnat, and swallow the camel...Matthew 23:23-24! Jesus condemned the scribes and the Pharisees because a sinner found not much mercy but had to offer up full burdens instead of finding mercy they found condemnation and heavy religious burdens to be right with God. Remember Jesus said…Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy...Matthew 5:7. If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother hath aught (argument) against thee, leave there your gift before the altar, and go your way, first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift...Matthew 5:23-24. Prayer Father, we ask for your help in reconciling our past with Your righteousness and pray for mercy for those who have done us wrong so we all can be reconciled to You and please meet our soul’s deepest needs so we can be in health and prosper as our souls prosper…In Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen. - All we leave this life with is the lessons we learned…or spurned until burned.
All we leave this life with is the lessons we learned…or spurned until burned. God will reveal the truth so you can be more like Him…learn your lessons well…The Creator disciplines us…to be more like Him… Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, And lean not upon thine own understanding: In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will direct your paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes; Fear Jehovah, and depart from evil: It will be health to your navel, And marrow to your bones. Honor Jehovah with your substance, And with the first-fruits of all your increase: So shall your barns be filled with plenty, And your vats shall overflow with new wine. My son, despise not the chastening (correction) of Jehovah; Neither be weary of His reproof: For whom Jehovah loves he reproves; Even as a father the son in whom he delights...Proverbs 3:5-12. God disciplines us…and scourges (whips us)…to be more like Him. and you have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with sons, My son, regard not lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when you art reproved of Him; For whom the Lord loves he chastens (corrects), And scourges (whips) every son whom He receives. It is for chastening that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father chastens not? But if you are without chastening (instruction and correction), whereof all have been made partakers, then are you bastards, and not sons. Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live...Hebrews 12:5-9? God is the Great I am of all that Is…He is the I am of all that is. If you are experiencing trouble then you better learn your lesson quickly. Look at everyday as a lesson from God to make or improve you to be more like Him in morals…character…and faith or done it before I have the power (authority) to do it again. He is always the example for us to be like and we will never be able to correct God but instead stand in need of constant instruction and discipline and correction. We need to have a what would Jesus do for all that we do and say…when is the last time you asked the Lord what would you do if you were me? Jesus promises us… Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed Him, If you abide in my word, then are you truly my disciples; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free…for the truth's sake which abides in us, and it shall be with us forever...John 8:31-32...2 John 1:2. Christians are not left ignorant of the truth but many will not practice the truth or want the Lord to do it for them not with them and many do practice the truth revealed. So when things are not going well…trust in the Lord and be better nor bitter. It is easy to complain and murmur but instead trust and ask what would Jesus do? - God does not call the qualified…He equips and qualifies the called.
God does not call the qualified…He equips and qualifies the called. God can and will create you whatever you need to be righteous like Him. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keeps the paths of judgment, and preserves the way of his saints. Then shalt you understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yes, every good path. When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto you soul; Discretion shall preserve you, understanding shall keep you: To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaks froward things; Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths...Proverbs 2:6-15. Do you love to be wise like Jesus…understanding like Jesus…to walk in righteousness like Jesus…yes or no? Love like Jesus… And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And you shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength (effort): this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, You shalt love your neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these...Mark 12:29-31. Jesus teaching the Jews in the Nation of Israel…being from the tribe of Judah and a Jew, taught the Creator is one Authority and you are to love Him first and foremost and then to love your neighbors as yourself. Remember love works no ill will towards its neighbor. Remember when you pray to the Almighty Creator…He already knows what you need…so keep your words few and trust He will do what is best for your soul. The truth will set you free… Promise divine which never can fail… Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free...John 8:31-32 The truth will set you free from the lie you do not need Jesus, that stealing is not sin, that bearing false witness is not sin, that coveting is not sin, that adultery is not sin, that not honoring your dad or mom is not sin, that murder is not sin, that blaspheming is not sin, or idolatry is not sin…that you do not need Jesus…to have other gods…that not loving your neighbor is not a sin. Jesus is the Truth which sets us free from evil… Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me...John 14:6. Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead so you and I could be free to practice all the good God intended us to fulfill our plan and purpose. You do not have to lie…steal…murder…covet…commit adultery…blaspheme…ignore your mom and dad’s needs…commit idolatry…have other sources (gods)…you can live your life and love your neighbor as yourself and be blessed for it. - I repented and won through Jesus Christ the victory over my sins…
I repented and won through Jesus Christ the victory over this world… Jesus the Advocate…the Lawyer for your soul... For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith...1 John 5:4. My little children, these things write I unto you, that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation (forever atoning sacrifice) for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He that saith, I know Him, and keeps not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in Him...1 John 2:1-4. The Judgement So…picture a court scene…the accuser begins the accusations…satan…He has broken several of the Commandments…to the Judge…our Creator the Father. He begins by stating everything you have done accurately to the court and Judge. He has stolen…He has lied…He has blasphemed Your Honorable name…He has coveted…etc… the longer the accuser talks the more your head hangs down in shame... because you are guilty. When he is done accusing you…you know you deserve just punishment and hell will be your forever home…but then your Advocate…your Lawyer… Jesus Christ stands up to defend His…He speaks up to the court…and the Judge and begins to say…these accusations should not be punished Father because I have already atoned for these crimes against this court…Father please see Ben (or your name) as Me before you make your judgment. We have already made amends and there is no punishment needed…for even I have laid down my life as a just punishment for this man’s sins and therefore there is no punishment deserved…then the Father bangs the gavel and says not guilty of punishment…you are free. Encouragement to make Jesus your advocate… Have you won the victory? Have you made Jesus the Advocate (lawyer) with our Father…yes or no? I have the day I was baptized and died to myself and was washed and born of God and began living a life for God. Have you been baptized and clothed with Jesus Christ…yes or no? For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ...Galatians 3:27. After you are baptized…God sees Jesus’ work on the cross and His Righteousness not you…so that you are seen as Jesus and sinless although we are learning not to sin…and to become Holy like God, yet because we are but children in diapers does God tolerate and hate our sins until we learn or are taught not to do them again until Jesus comes back to judge the world. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus...Romans 3:24-26. - Hear the Gospel of Christ...the good news of Christ
A Good News devotional of just scripture…Quotes from the New Testament of Jesus Christ…as it is written… For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith… But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Rom 1:16-17 Heb 11:6 Rom 10:13-17) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures… For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved… Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them… Though He were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which He suffered; And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him (1Co 15:1-4 Joh 3:16-17 Heb 7:25 Heb 5:8-9) Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind blows where it lists, and thou hear the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit… I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins… Afterward He (Jesus) appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen Him after he was risen. And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. (Joh 8:24 Joh 3:5-8 Mar 16:14-20) Father please show us mercy and cover the faithful with grace, mercy, peace, joy, love, and virtue…In Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen. - Some people are like quicksand...
We must recover some from the devil’s snare with the truth but not get snared… Develop a Character fit for teaching God’s truth… And the Lord's servant must not strive (be contentious), but be gentle towards all, apt (able) to teach, forbearing (being patient), in meekness (obedience) correcting them that oppose themselves (reprove or rebuke); if peradventure (perhaps) God may give them (grant) repentance unto the knowledge of the truth, and they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him unto his will...2 Timothy 2:24-26. …To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. They profess that they know God; but by their works they deny him, being abominable (refuses to come to Christ way to be cleansed), and disobedient (rebellious), and unto every good work reprobate (without faithfulness)...Titus 1:15-16. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places...Ephesians 6:12. …but shun (avoid…stay away from) foolish questionings (capable of choosing but ask questions instead of choosing to obey the truth), and genealogies, and strife, and fighting (quarrelling…debating) about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A factious (heretic…sows division) man after a first and second admonition refuse; knowing that such a one is perverted, and sins, being self-condemned...Titus 3:9-11. If they are not a Christian then we are teaching those caught up in the devil’s doctrine how to untangle themselves from the lies they have been taught through philosophies or their heritage or their teachers... In the above scriptures…we see people are carried away by forces or teachers that are controlling them…and as a teacher or Christian which cares about their soul, we must reprove them without erring in obedience to the truth. Christians believe the words from scriptures are pure and must be held in the highest esteem even obeyed through the point of death. Many do not believe the words from the New Testament are pure and inspired or are from God Himself. We must develop a character which remains pure while leading other to the truth of God’s word. - A simple test to see if you despise/hate God or love/hold to God…
A simple test to see if you despise/hate God or love/hold to God… Simple Test No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one (Jesus), and love the other (world); or else he will hold to one (Jesus), and despise the other (world). You cannot serve God and mammon (this world)...Matthew 6:24. Who do you do it for? Love your neighbor as yourself… Do you despise the lust of the flesh…Do you hate the lust of the flesh…or do you gratify the lust of the flesh by holding to it or loving the flesh more than God? Do you despise the lust of the eyes…Do you hate the lust of the eyes…or do you satisfy the lusts of your eyes…Do you hold to the lust of the eyes more than God…thinking you are blessed with what you see or Do you love the lust of the eyes thinking you are blessed because you have what your eyes see? Do you despise yourself…Do you hate yourself…or do you put yourself second and your brothers third and your neighbors fourth? Or Do you put self-last and sacrifice to serve God? Do you love your neighbor or do you love yourself… Do you despise having to help your neighbor or do you rejoice in God is using you to be an avenue of grace towards your neighbor? Are you sharing what God has given you or do you charge for God’s will to be done? Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vainglory (the self-glory) of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abides forever...1 John 2:15-17… …Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled...Matthew 5:6... …Owe no man anything, save to love one another: for he that loveth his neighbor hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: love therefore is the fulfilment of the law...Romans 13:8-10… …For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil: which some reaching after have been led astray from the faith, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness...1 Timothy 6:10-11. - Have you ever stolen something given or belongs to another soul…yes or no?
Have you ever stolen something given or belongs to another soul…yes or no? By stealing another’s blessing or possession, you are making yourself in your own imaginations image. You are taking that which God has given to another and this is also coveting…wanting what God has not given you. So when you steal you are committing two sins. Where coveting is the heart or the beginning of stealing…you want what is not yours…and stealing is the action of taking it…either it be by power…or circumstance…or just simply taking it with your hands. Stealing is wrong and will send you to hell. Coveting is wrong and will send you to hell. It takes both to steal or do you lie…because you covet…so you can trick someone into giving and thus have broken 3 commandments in order to steal that which you desire? Do you say false statements in order to obtain…this too is a form of coveting and thus stealing. Any sin will send you to hell…telling false statements…through wanting what they have…wanting what they have…or even the act of stealing will send you to hell. May all that you have stolen be made useless or be restored to one who you stole it from…perhaps ask for mercy so you will be saved…and you both be blessed…one for forgiving and one for repenting. It is written… …Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have whereof to give to him that hath need...Ephesians 4:28. Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: love therefore is the fulfilment of the law...Romans 13:8-10. If what they have is then in a positive manner…and you desire to be like Jesus then why not ask Jesus to be like Him. Did not Jesus say as It is written… …Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone; or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him...Matthew 7:7-11. - Have you taken advantage of the At-one-ment through Jesus…are you at one with our Creator?
Have you taken advantage of the At-one-ment through Jesus…are you at one with our Creator? A message of the atonement of Jesus Christ of Nazareth from the Holy Scriptures… This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who would have all men to be saved, and come to the knowledge of the Truth. For there is one God, one Mediator also between God and men, Himself man, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all; the testimony to be borne in its own times...1 Timothy 2:3-6. For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten (Fathered) Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through Him...John 3:16-17. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance...2 Peter 3:9. …That they should seek God, if haply they might feel after Him and find Him, though He (God) is not far from each one of us: for in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain even of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and device of man. The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked; but now He (God) commands men that they should all everywhere repent: inasmuch as he hath appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he hath ordained; whereof He hath given assurance unto all men, in that He hath raised Him from the dead...Acts 17:27-31. …Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead…He is the stone which was set at nought of you the builders, which was made the head of the corner. And in none other (soul) is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved...Acts 4:10-12 Though He (Jesus Christ of Nazareth) was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which He suffered; and having been made perfect, He became unto all them that obey Him the author of eternal salvation; named of God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek....Hebrews 5:8-10. How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish unto God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause He (Jesus Christ of Nazareth) is the mediator of a new covenant (agreement), that a death having taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant (agreement), they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance...Hebrews 9:14-15. Jesus Christ of Nazareth said… All things have been delivered unto Me of my Father: and no one knows the Son, save the Father; neither doth any (soul) know the Father, save the Son, and He to whomsoever the Son wills to reveal him. Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke (Truth) upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek (obedient) and lowly (humble) in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light...Matthew 11:27-30. Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed Him, If you abide in my word, then are you truly my disciples; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free...John 8:31-32. But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles (unbelievers) seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek ye first His kingdom, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof...Matthew 6:30-34. I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. And He (Jesus) spoke this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none. And he said unto the Vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it also cumber the ground? And he answering saith unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung (fertilize) it: and if it bear fruit thenceforth, well; but if not, thou shalt cut it down...Luke 13:5-9. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born anew. The wind blowsh where it will, and thou hear the voice thereof, but knowest not whence it cometh, and whither it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit...John 3:5-8. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieves (chooses to disobey or rebel) shall be condemned...Mark 16:16. Jesus answered, The first (of all commandments) is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, the Lord is one: and you shalt love the Lord thy God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this, You shalt love your neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these...Mark 12:29-31. If ye love Me, you will keep my commandments...John 14:15. And Jesus came to them and spoke unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth. Go you therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world...Matthew 28:18-20. So what must you do… And Peter said unto them, Repent you (all), and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him. And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation. They then that received his word were baptized: and there were added unto them in that day about three thousand souls...Acts 2:38-41. because if thou shalt confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shalt be saved: for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be put to shame...Romans 10:9-11 And now why tarry you? arise, and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name...Acts 22:16. Have you been born of the water and the Spirit…yes or no? Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is begotten (Fathered) of God: and whosoever loveth Him that begat (Fathered) loveth Him also that is begotten (was Fathered) of Him. Hereby we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous (hard). For whatsoever is begotten (born) of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that hath overcome the world, even our faith. And who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is He that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. And it is the Spirit that bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three who bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and the three agree in one...1 John 5:1-8. And this is love, that we should walk after His commandments. This is the commandment, even as you heard from the beginning, that ye should walk in it. For many deceivers are gone forth into the world, even they that confess not that Jesus Christ cometh in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist...2 John 1:6-7. Whosoever goes onward and abides not in the teaching of Christ, hath not God: he that abides in the teaching, the same hath both the Father and the Son...2 John 1:9. Do you believe Jesus Christ of Nazareth died on the cross and was raised from the dead…yes or no? and Do you believe Jesus Christ became the Author of Salvation and instituted a New Agreement or the New Covenant of Christ…yes or no? - God does not want shares of your life…He wants a Controlling interest.
God does not want shares of your life…He wants a Controlling interest. Do you obey Jesus…yes or no? For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten (Fathered) Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through Him…though He was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which He suffered; and having been made perfect, He became unto all them that obey Him the author of eternal salvation…Now it was not written for His sake alone, that it was reckoned unto Him; but for our sake also, unto whom it shall be reckoned, who believe on Him that raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification. (...John 3:16-17...Hebrews 5:8-9...Romans 4:23-25) Are you Just-as-I’d never sinned…yes or no…? Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ…Romans 5:1. The good man out of his good treasure bringeth forth good things: and the evil man out of his evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned...Matthew 12:35-37. Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven....Matthew 10:32-33 Have you been baptized in order to be saved or justified before God…yes or no? And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him...Acts 2:38-39 If you obey the same message then you will receive the same promise…Have you been baptized for the remission of sins and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit…yes or no? - You ever been tempted like Jesus Christ?
The three temptations of Jesus by satan… …And the tempter came and said unto Him, If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread. But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. …Then the devil taketh Him into the holy city; and He set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and saith unto Him, If You art the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and, On their hands they shall bear thee up, Lest haply You dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, Again it is written, you shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God. …Again, the devil taketh Him unto an exceeding high mountain, and shows Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and He said unto Him, All these things will I give thee, if You wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, you shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt you serve. …Then the devil leaves Him; and behold, angels came and ministered unto Him...Matthew 4:3-11. The first temptation of Jesus… If you be the Son of God…then command these stones to become bread… Satan used the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes to tempt Jesus along with the pride of self in life…Jesus after having fasted for forty days was hungry…Satan used the lust of the flesh…hence making stones bread appealed to Him. Satan used the lust of the eyes…hence looking at bread when hungry appealed to Him…Satan used the pride of self in life…hence if You be the Son of God then make…Jesus never fell to the first temptation but quoted what is written…Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The Second temptation of Jesus If You be the Son of God cast yourself down for He shall give His angels charge concerning You and on their hands they shall bear You up… Satan again used the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes to tempt Jesus alone with the pride or self in life…Jesus was tempted by the lust of the flesh in…He could have wanted to feel a Holy angel’s presence or hands…Jesus was tempted to with the lust of the eyes…He could have wanted to see the unseen angels…Jesus was tempted by the pride or self in life because they could have saved Him and obeyed Him…Jesus never fell to the second temptation…but quoted what is written…You shall not make a trial of the Lord your God. In my words, He said do not jump in the fire Satan then ask God to save you. The third temptation of Jesus All these things…the glory and the kingdoms of the world…will I give You if you fall down and worship me. Satan again used the lust of the flesh and eyes to tempt Jesus along with the pride of self in life. Jesus seen all the food and good these other kingdoms did and would not have to suffer any longer in the flesh. Jesus was tempted by the lust of the eyes…He seen He could have authority over all these other nations and never have to do anything but commit idolatry. Jesus was tempted by the pride of self in life…He would not have to suffer and learn obedience by dying for sinners...He could be the Authority without having to suffer obedience unto death. Jesus did not fall but quoted as it is written…you shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt you serve. All three temptations had this in common…the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of self in life. Jesus could have turned stones into bread…Jesus could have commanded the angels to make Him not fall…Jesus could have committed idolatry and receive authority over the earth without any form of obedience or suffering. Jesus was tempted as it is written… For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help us in time of need...Hebrews 4:15-16. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vainglory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abides for ever...1 John 2:15-17. We have these promises of assurance…as it is written… Wherefore let him that thinketh he stands take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such as man can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry...1 Corinthians 10:12-14. And in like manner the Spirit also helps our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered; and He that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose...Romans 8:26-28. Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed Him, If you abide in my word, then are you truly my disciples; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free...John 8:31-32. …You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and stands not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof...John 8:44. …I am the door; by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture. The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep...John 10:9-11. Jesus was born of a virgin and never broke any of the Commandments of the law but was under the standard of the Ten Commandments. Jesus never broke any of the Ten Commandments being from the tribe of Judah and not from the tribe of Levi. In any of these temptations, Jesus never broke one of the Ten Commandments. Then by learning obedience as it is written…though He was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which He suffered; and having been made perfect, He became unto all them that obey Him the Author of eternal salvation; named of God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek...Hebrews 5:8-10. Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead in order that we all could be saved from our disobedience to God, because unlike Jesus we all like sheep have gone astray. Do you believe Jesus died and was raised from the dead…yes or no? Do you want to be tempted away from God’s side…yes or no? Do you want to be saved from eternal punishment…forever being destroyed in fire because of your rebellion to God…yes or no? Jesus said as it is written…after His resurrection and dying on the cross…to the 11 remaining disciples… … Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieves (disobeys) shall be condemned. And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover...Mark 16:15-18. …So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken unto them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen...Mark 16:19-20. Prayer Father please help us not to be tempted…we struggle enough by ourselves…we renounce Satan and his temptations...please create in us a desire not to love the world or the things in the world…help us not to love our lives unto death so we may prosper and be in health as our soul prospers in Christ…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
