Sermon of just scripture from the New Testament of Christ...the new agreement between God and creation...by: Benjamin Brian Stewart

Divine Patience, Godly Sorrow, and the Path to Repentance

…The Lord is not delaying the promise of His coming, as some in their own minds reckon delay; rather, He is longsuffering toward us, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance…

…And so I rejoice—not because you were caused to sorrow, but because you sorrowed unto repentance; for you sorrowed in a godly manner, so that you were not injured by us in any way. For sorrow unto repentance before God works out salvation not to be repented of; but the sorrow of the world works out death…

…Therefore, let the one who thinks he stands take heed, lest he fall. No temptation has come upon you except what is common to mankind. For God, Who is faithful, will not permit you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear; but with the temptation, He will make a way of escape, so that you may be able to bear it. Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. (2Pe 3:9 2Co 7:9-10 1Co 10:12-14)

Distinguishing True Faith from Worldly Deception

…What then am I saying? That an idol is anything, or that which is sacrificed to an idol is anything? But that which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God; and I do not wish you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord, and the table of demons. Now do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?

…By this test you can know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God. And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not from God. And this is the spirit of antichrist, which you heard was to come, and even now it is already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because greater is He Who is in you than the one who is in the world. They are of the world; because of this, they speak of the world, and the world listens to them…

…Do not love the world, nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him Because everything that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pretentious pride of physical life—is not from the Father, but is from the world. And the world and its lust is passing away, but the one who does the will of God abides forever…(1Co 10:19-22 1Jn 4:2-5 1Jn 2:15-17)

The Divine Promise and the Inevitability of Judgment

…And He Who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." Then He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful." And He said to me, "It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts, I will give freely of the fountain of the water of life. The one who overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone; which is the second death…

…How much worse punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has regarded the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, as an unholy thing, and has scorned the Spirit of grace? For we know Him Who has said, " 'Vengeance belongs to Me. I will recompense!' says the Lord." And again, "The Lord will judge His people." It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God…

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ so that each one may receive according to the things done in his body—what he has practiced, whether good or evil…(Rev 21:5-8 Heb 10:29-31 2Co 5:10)

Living and Dying Unto the Lord: Accountability and Confession Before God

…For no one among us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we should live unto the Lord; and if we die, we should die unto the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. It is for this very purpose that Christ both died and rose and is living again, so that He might be Lord over both the dead and the living. Now then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ Because it is written, " 'For as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.' " So then, each one of us shall give account of himself to God…

…That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of beings in heaven and on earth and under the earth, And every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father…

…Jesus Christ said…Now then, whoever shall confess Me before men, that one will I also confess before My Father Who is in heaven. But whoever shall deny Me before men, that one will I also deny before My Father, Who is in heaven. (Rom 14:7-12 Php 2:10-11 Mat 10:32-33)

The Transformative Power of Baptism and Faith in Christ

…Or are you ignorant that we, as many as were baptized into Christ Jesus, were baptized into His death? Therefore, we were buried with Him through the baptism into the death ; so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, in the same way, we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been conjoined together in the likeness of His death, so also shall we be in the likeness of His resurrection…

…Having been buried with Him in baptism, by which you have also been raised with Him through the inner working of God, Who raised Him from the dead. For you, who were once dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has now made alive with Him, having forgiven all your trespasses…

…That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation Because the scripture says, "Everyone who believes in Him shall not be ashamed." For there is no difference between Jew and Greek, because the same Lord of all is rich toward all who call upon Him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Rom 6:3-5 Col 2:12-13 Rom 10:9-13)

The Great Commission and Ascension of Jesus

Jesus said… And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. The one who believes and is baptized shall be saved, but the one who does not believe shall be condemned. And these signs shall follow those who believe: in My name they shall cast out demons; they shall speak with new languages; They shall remove serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them in any way; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

…After speaking to them, the Lord was indeed then taken up into heaven, and He sat down at the right hand of God. (Mar 16:15-19)

Divine Call for Justice, Integrity, and Wisdom

Thus says the LORD, "Execute judgment and righteousness, and deliver him who is robbed out of the oppressor's hand. And do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place… These six things the LORD hates; yea, seven are an abomination unto Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that plots wicked imaginations, feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, and he who sows discord among brethren… Behold, I am sending you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. (Jer 22:3… Pro 6:16-19… Mat 10:16)

Living Righteously in a Challenging World: A Call to Shine as Lights

For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do according to His good pleasure. Do all things without complaints and disputes; So that you may be blameless and without offense, innocent children of God in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world… For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil works. Do you desire not to be afraid of the authority? Then practice good, and you will have praise from it; For he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you are practicing evil, have fear! For he does not wear the sword in vain because he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to the one who is practicing evil… Do not render to anyone evil for evil, but be prepared to do what is right in the sight of all men. If possible, as much as is your part, be at peace with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves; rather, leave this to God's wrath; for it is written, " 'Vengeance is Mine! I will recompense,' says the Lord." Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for in doing this you will be heaping coals of fire on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good… (Php 2:13-15… Rom 13:3-4… Rom 12:17-21)

The Role of Peacemakers in Upholding Divine Principles

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. (Mat 5:9)

  1. Peace is something you do not say…words of Truth can create peace but must be said...in Truth and Love…violence creates more violence…but the only way to end violence when words will not be received for peace is to meet a violence with violence.

  2. Just treatment of the enemies of peace…Jesus said to bless your enemies not curse them…not to join the enemies of peace but to feed and water your enemies by doing so you will reap coals of fire on their head.

  3. The Best a soul can do is what is right by our Creator when he learns the Truth.

  4. A peacemaker desires…to harm no soul including their own…to keep the innocent innocent…the harmless harmless…and to shed no innocent blood.

  5. Peacemaking stops the evil doer and keeps the innocent harmless and the harmless innocent. Peacemakers must exercise self-control and not act not out of self-will but out of love knowing love does not work ill-will towards its neighbor or enemies but seeks peace and what is best for all innocent souls.

Father please help us to be harmless and to shed no innocent blood but to always stand for justice and true righteousness by You…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

The just shall live by faith…

…For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes— both to the Jew first, and to the Greek. For therein the righteousness of God is revealed from faith unto faith, according as it is written: The just shall live by faith.…

…let God be true but every man a liar, exactly as it is written: That You might be justified in Your words, and might overcome when You are being judged by men.…

…But now, the righteousness of God that is separate from law has been revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets; Even the righteousness of God that is through the faith of Jesus Christ, toward all and upon all those who believe; for there is no difference. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; But are being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus…(Rom 1:16-17…Rom 3:4…Rom 3:21-24)

Having been justified by faith…

…Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Whom we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we ourselves boast in the hope of the glory of God…

…But God commends His own love to us because, when we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more, therefore, having been justified now by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His own Son, much more then, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life…

…What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin, so that grace may abound? MAY IT NEVER BE! We who died to sin, how shall we live any longer therein? Or are you ignorant that we, as many as were baptized into Christ Jesus, were baptized into His death? Therefore, we were buried with Him through the baptism into the death ; so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, in the same way, we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been conjoined together in the likeness of His death, so also shall we be in the likeness of His resurrection. Knowing this, that our old man was co-crucified with Him in order that the body of sin might be destroyed, so that we might no longer be enslaved to sin; Because the one who has died to sin has been justified from sin…(Rom 5:1-2…Rom 5:8-10…Rom 6:1-7)

There is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus…

…But now that you have been delivered from sin and have become servants of God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord…

…Consequently, there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit; Because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has delivered me from the law of sin and death. For what was impossible for the law to do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, having sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh; In order that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit…

…But thanks be to God, Who always leads us triumphant in Christ, and manifests the fragrance of His knowledge through us in every place…(Rom 6:22-23…Rom 8:1-4…2Co 2:14)

Through the victory in our Lord Jesus Christ…

…O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory? Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ…

…I can do all things through Christ, Who empowers me…

…But my God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory into the ages of eternity. Amen. (1Co 15:55-57…Php 4:13…Php 4:19-20)

Let us be the faithful ones who have come out of the great tribulation…

…And one of the elders answered and said to me, These who are clothed with white robes, who are they, and where did they come from? Then I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, They are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation; and they have washed their robes, and have made their robes white in the blood of the Lamb. (Rev 7:13-14)

  1. Jesus will forgive you and then reveal the truth to you…so you can learn how to change and be right with our Creator and fellow man. Do you want Jesus to reveal the truth to you so you can be right with God…Yes or no?

  2. Do you believe Jesus Christ died on the cross and was raised from the dead…Yes or no?

  3. Have you been baptized to obey Jesus…Yes or no?

  4. Will you be baptized to obey Jesus words who said… The one who believes and is baptized shall be saved, but the one who does not believe shall be condemned…Yes or no? Mar 16:16

Father please meet our soul’s deepest needs and heal our soul’s deepest wounds so we may prosper and be in health as our soul prospers…and please grant us mercy so we can live with You eternally…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Notes...The love we have is God’s gift to us…what we do with it is our gift to God…is a quote from a church sign.
