Many are blessed by Jesus and consider Him Lord but many do not obey Jesus…

And one said unto him, Lord, are they few that are saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in by the narrow door: for many, I say unto you, shall seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us; and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not whence ye are; then shall ye begin to say, We did eat and drink in thy presence, and thou didst teach in our streets; and he shall say, I tell you, I know not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves cast forth without. And they shall come from the east and west, and from the north and south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. And behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.

...Luke 13:23-30.

God is so good He blesses even the evil with rain, but how many evil people actually render true obedience from the heart? How many of our religious neighbors say Jesus is God’s only Son yet live as people in need of forgiveness because they have not fully surrendered to Jesus. Perhaps they have not been baptized and do not understand Jesus grace covers their sin because they remain obedient to Jesus. My best has to be covered in grace from Jesus to be accepted by the Father. I do make mistakes and sin but it is not a lifestyle of sin. Many of our religious neighbors have a lifestyle of sin and think they are saved because they have been blessed by the God of Gods…I hope they realize where they stand before the door is shut and they are cast into the outer darkness.

Prayer

Father please reveal the truth to us where we have went wrong and are not right with You and please grant us repentance where needed so we can change and overcome our bad habits or even a lifestyle that does not honor You…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Your unprofitable servant reporting for duty…

No man, when he hath lighted a lamp, putteth it in a cellar, neither under the bushel, but on the stand, that they which enter in may see the light. The lamp of thy body is thine eye: when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when it is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Look therefore whether the light that is in thee be not darkness. If therefore thy whole body be full of light, having no part dark, it shall be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining doth give thee light...Luke 11:33-36.

How many are coveting this world and the things of the world instead of wanting what God has given us to want? Many think that money or success is God’s approval. Jesus however lived poor and had no house but only His clothes and was the king of kings. Are we completely committed to only wanting what Jesus will is for us to do? Or are we give me this and I will do that? We must be completely committed to whatever Jesus will is or as it is written your unprofitable servant reporting for duty. We cannot mix this world’s philosophies with Jesus will or its principles. When we pray is it a to do list for God or just reporting for duty?

Prayer

Father we confess our selfishness and ask that You would make as wholly full of Jesus light or will…we are Your unprofitable servant reporting for duty…let Your will be done…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

God is never too busy to hear us when we pray…

And it came to pass, as he was praying in a certain place, that when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, even as John also taught his disciples. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Father, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we ourselves also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And bring us not into temptation. And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine is come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him; and he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee? I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will arise and give him as many as he needeth. And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. And of which of you that is a father shall his son ask a loaf, and he give him a stone? or a fish, and he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he give him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him...Luke 11:1-13?

God is never asleep in bed but hears when we pray and ask for our petitions to be granted. You ever think when you pray in the middle of worship…I mean God is receiving worship and has time to listen to your prayer? It is just like this parable…an argument from the lesser tot he greater. If a man will get out of bed and meet the needs of a friend how much more will a loving Father hear our need...God always hears us and sees our immediate needs. He said ask and you will receive…seek and you will find…knock and the door will be opened unto you. God is eternal and can receive worship and hear your prayer at the same time, sometimes our songs are a prayer.

Prayer

Father You are Holy and source of Holy…please meet our soul’s deepest needs and heal our bodies and spirit…we prayer for The Holy Spirit to be in us…on us…and to work through us…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
