As a Christian do you have a sound mind…wisdom…and drink from the water of life?

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind...2 Timothy 1:7. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed...James 1:5-6. And He said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be His God, and He shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death...Revelation 21:6-8.

Jesus is the truth the life and the way he wants you to have a sound mind so you can behave properly and make sound decisions. He will give you enough wisdom to be wise unto salvation in every situation. Your part is you have to practice the truth and ask for wisdom. He will also give to whoever asks drink from the water of life. Sound like good news?

Jesus leads us with the truth but you have to practice the truth. Jesus said you will know the truth and truth will set you free. So walk and talk in the truth and you will be light in the world reproving and avoiding the darkness of the evil one.

Prayer

Father please give us a sound mind which cannot be corrupted, and enough wisdom to be wise unto salvation in every situation, and fill our cups with the water of life, please meet our soul’s deepest needs for repentance so we can overcome this world and our past mistakes, we renounce satan and sin in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Speak where God has spoken and have a…it is written… vocabulary for unity and peace.

God forbid: yes, let God be found true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That you might be justified in your words, And might prevail when you come into judgment...Romans 3:4. Jesus said… Sanctify them in the truth: Your word is truth...John 17:17. Now I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment...1 Corinthians 1:10.

We will be judged by Jesus and His Apostle’s teaching…

For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without the law: and as many as have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law; for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified...Romans 2:12-13. So speak you, and so do, as men that are to be judged by a law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to him that hath showed no mercy: mercy glories against judgment...James 2:12-13. For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries. A man that hath set at nought (nothing) Moses' law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses: of how much sorer punishment, think you, shall he be judged worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?...Hebrews 10:26-29.

Speak where the bible speaks and be silent where the bible is silent…

Give diligence to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth...2 Timothy 2:15. Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness: that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work...2 Timothy 3:16-17. For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest unto God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences...2 Corinthians 5:10-11.

Prayer

Father help us speak where You have spoken and be silent where You have remained silent, help us to remember Your Son’s teaching of truth and practice it faithfully, please meet our soul’s deepest needs and show us mercy, grace, peace, joy, and love…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

A candle losing nothing by lighting another candle…

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the stand; and it shineth unto all that are in the house. Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven...Matthew 5:14-16. for you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light (for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth), proving what is well-pleasing unto the Lord; and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them; for the things which are done by them in secret it is a shame even to speak of. But all things when they are reproved are made manifest by the light: for everything that is made manifest is light...Ephesians 5:8-13. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin...1 John 1:6-7.

Are you light or darkness…do you do what is good and right and true or do you live by some other standard?

The morality of the Ten Commandments is the light unto our feet for if we understand love your neighbor as yourself you will naturally keep the ten commandments. Have you received from any other table other than God…you shall not have no other gods before Me. Have you used God’s name in any other way other than prayer or teaching…you shall not take the name of God in vain. Have you worshipped the created…you shall not make any graven images. Have you kept yourself Holy so you can worship God…remember the sabbath day and to keep it Holy. The Jews had to offer animal sacrifices if they had sin and therefore were in the sinners section unless they kept the other nine commandments. Jesus in talking to the woman at the well said the Father seeks those who walk in Spirit and Truth to worship Him. Have you respected your dad and mom…honor your Father and mother. Have you murdered…you shall not kill. Have you committed sex with another’s spouse…you shall not commit adultery. Have you wanted what God has not given you…you shall not covet. Have you bore false witness or lied…you shall not bear false witness. Have you stolen something not yours…you shall not steal. It is all summed up in what is said by Jesus…

and you shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this, You shalt love your neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these...Mark 12:30-31.

Prayer

Father we renounce satan and any form of darkness…help us to be the light and to love You with all of our heart, mind, soul, spirit, and strength please meet our soul’s deepest needs and heal us from our pasts in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
