1Co 15:33 Do not be deceived; evil companionship corrupts good behavior…Now we know that the law is good, if anyone uses it lawfully, 9 Understanding this: that law is not enacted for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for slayers of fathers and slayers of mothers, for murderers, 10 For fornicators, for homosexuals, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing that is opposed to sound doctrine…1Ti 1:8-10

Act 17:27-31, In order that they might seek the Lord, if perhaps they might feel after Him and might find Him; though truly, He is not far from each one of us, 28 For in Him we live and move and have our being; as some of the poets among you also have said, 'For we are His offspring.' 29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we should not think that the Godhead is like that which is made of gold, or silver, or stone—a graven thing of art devised by the imagination of man; 30 For although God has indeed overlooked the times of this ignorance, He now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 Because He has set a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness by a Man Whom He has appointed, having given proof to all by raising Him from the dead….For in the first place, I delivered to you what I also had received: that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures; 4 And that He was buried; and that He was raised the third day, according to the Scriptures; 5 And that He appeared to Cephas, and then to the twelve. 1Co 15:3-5.

Mar 16:14-20 Afterwards, as they were sitting to eat, He appeared to the eleven and reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. 16 The one who believes and is baptized shall be saved, but the one who does not believe shall be condemned. 17 And these signs shall follow those who believe: in My name they shall cast out demons; they shall speak with new languages; 18 They shall remove serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them in any way; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 After speaking to them, the Lord was indeed then taken up into heaven, and He sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the Word by the signs that followed. Amen.

Col 3:12-17, Put on then, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, deep inner affections (compassion), kindness, humility, meekness (obedience) and longsuffering (patience); 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so also you should forgive. 14 And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which you were called into one body, and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And in everything—whatever you do in word or in deed—do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him…

Let your past make you better…not bitter…What is written in the Bible about being a better man not a bitter man…let your past make you better…not bitter…develop Christian graces…2Pe 1:3-10 KJV Give…All diligence…all your effort…all your resources…to be Godly men…and add these Christian graces to your character…

Christian graces…

2Pe 1:3-10 KJV  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  5  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;  6  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;  7  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  8  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  9  But he that lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.  10  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

All diligence…all your effort…all your resources…to be Godly men…

  1. Faith…without faith it is impossible to please God… Heb 11:1 KJV  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen…we have to believe God exist and we are trying to please Him with our conduct.

  2. Virtue…moral excellence…holy character…purest intentions…the doing of good deeds…

  3. Knowledge…knowledge of how to be Holy…knowing what to do in order to do good deeds

  4. Temperance…self-control…self-discipline…self-will surrender…having a sound mind making sound moral decisions

  5. Patience…the not growing weary in well doing…the bearing up under trials…the endurance of applying knowing with virtue and faith.

  6. Godliness…the character of the Holy…the result of applying self-control with patience while exercising the virtue and faith needed to be of Godly character.

  7. Brotherly Kindness…be kind to Christians…know how we treat others the Lord will treat us… Mat 7:1-2 KJV  Judge not, that ye be not judged.  2  For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

  8. Charity…love for all souls…if you treat everybody like Jesus then you will receive the same treatment as you gave… Eph 6:5-9 KJV  Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;  6  Not with eyeservice, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;  7  With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:  8  Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.  9  And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

1Co 16:13-14 KJV  Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you…(behave) like men, be strong.  14  Let all your things be done with charity (love).

Jesus said… Luk 14:26-35 KJV  If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.  27  And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.  28  For which of you, intending to build a tower, sits not down first, and counts the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?  29  Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,  30  Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.  31  Or what king, going to make war against another king, sits not down first, and consults whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?  32  Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an ambassage, and desires conditions of peace.  33  So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsakes not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.  34  Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?  35  It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Will you surrender to Jesus the Christ of Nazareth…yes or no? Will you render obedience to the truth and do what is right by your Creator…Yes or no? Jesus said…blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they will be filled…satisfied…do you want to be satisfied by Jesus and be right with God and your fellow man…yes or no?

Jesus said…

Joh 6:35 KJV  And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst…All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.  28  Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Mat 11:27-30 KJV

Will you agree to read the New Agreement given by the Author of Salvation so Jesus can teach you the truth and empower you to do right with God and fellow creation…Yes or no?

Joh 3:5 KJV  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God… He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mar 16:16 KJV

What does Jesus say about hell or eternal punishment…

Jesus tells a parable about the torments of hell…

Luk 16:19-31 KJV  There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:  20  And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,  21  And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.  22  And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;  23  And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.  24  And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.  25  But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime received thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.  26  And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.  27  Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou would send him to my father's house:  28  For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.  29  Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.  30  And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.  31  And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

We learn people in Hell’s torments are conscience…they are present…and they are being punished eternally with no escape.

Jesus also said…

Luk 12:5 KJV  But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Jesus said to fear the One who can cast you into Hell after he has died…Jesus after he hath killed…then would send you to hell for punishment.

Mar 9:43-44 KJV  And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:  44  Where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.

Jesus said because of sin…people will be cast into hell and tormented with fire unquenchable.

Mat 10:28 KJV  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Jesus said fear Him who could destroy both soul and body in hell. God can send people straight to hell and not just their soul but their bodies too.

Mat 25:46 KJV  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Jesus taught Hell is eternal and is everlasting punishment…punishment in fire which will never end.

After reading these passages I find what is written which was spoken of by Jesus when He was here on earth…We learn from the Jesus’s parable people in Hell’s torments are conscience…they are present…and they are being punished eternally with no escape… Jesus said to fear the One who can cast you into Hell after he has made you die…Jesus said after He hath killed…then would send you to hell for punishment… Jesus said because of sin…people will be cast into hell and tormented with fire unquenchable… Jesus said fear Him who could destroy both soul and body in hell. God can send people straight to hell and not just their soul but their bodies too… Jesus taught Hell is eternal and is everlasting punishment…punishment in fire which will never end.

So Jesus taught…Hell is real…is eternal…with fire which cannot be quenched…people are conscience and know they are being punished…God can kill you and send you to Hell for any one sin…Hell is not where you want to end up! Choice, not chance, determines destiny.

Father please confirm this truth to us and help us to fear You and Your punishment in Hell…please grant us repentance so we can change and do right by You in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
