Sin will fascinate you then it will assassinate you…

...Wherefore let him that thinketh he stands take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such as man can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that ye may be able to endure it. Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry...

...And this is the message which we have heard from Him and announce unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us...

...Blessed is the man that endures temptation; for when he hath been approved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to them that love Him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, and He himself tempts no man: but each man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then the lust, when it hath conceived, bears sin: and the sin, when it is full-grown, bringeth forth death. Be not deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning. (1Co 10:12-14, 1Jn 1:5-10, Jas 1:12-17)

Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints...

...In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things...

...Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone; or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him? All things therefore whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, even so do ye also unto them: for this is the law and the prophets. Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby. For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it. (Eph 6:10-18, Php 4:6-8, Mat 7:7-14)

Father please deliver us from temptation and trials of our faith that we may learn and grow to become more like you without any hinderance of the truth in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Title: Our soul is thirsty for truth and many are drunk on sin.

Text: Deut 29:19-20, “And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst: The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.”

In Deut 28 and 29, Moses lays out the punishment of serving other gods to their own hurt, and the blessings of being faithful. In the New Testament we have no such curses, but we are told that one can be delivered to satan for the destruction of the flesh (1 Cor 5:5, 1 Tim 1:20). As long as we are in Christ and faithful, we can ask anything according to Christ’s will and it will be granted (1 John 3:22). When a real Christian is delivered to satan, he has committed a willful sin and there remains no more sacrifice for sin (Heb 10:26), leaving God to remove His protection and satan to destroy the flesh.

When a person has as in the old testament served other gods, they to would be cursed also. Many of us Christians are adding drunkeness to thirst. Meaning our souls are thirsty for truth and God, but when we reach for forbidden fruit and do not let go, then we would rather be drunk on sin rather than obedient unto the truth. People in this condition often “fake it until you make it”, but God says we must acknowledge the truth of our sins (2 Tim 2:25-26). If we do not let go of our sins then we will become drunk on our sins rather than being thirsty for the cure, remedy, and required prescription to deal with our sins the way Jesus and His apostles instruct us. We go around pretending, we have done no wrong and that we are right with Jesus.

Father we want to only sit at Jesus’ table and we renounce all other sources we have tangled in causing sin, please forgive us and we forgive those that have sinned against us knowing that blessed are the merciful for they will receive mercy. In Jesus name may it be so.

What is saving grace…or perhaps if I ask a question to reflect my understanding of saving grace…How does a Son sin when he will be corrected in truth and righteousness?

After all when our name is added to the Lamb’s book of life after surrendering all in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ…through baptism…when then are no longer enemies of God but rather Sons adopted into the Citizenship of the Kingdom of Heaven…how then can we now offend our Dad…if we are willing to accept correction in truth and righteousness…our hearts do not rebel against dad but rather say please teach me better…Sonship with the King of Kings…Having the rights of the Heavenly Citizenship…the rights of a Christian Son or Daughter…

I picture Jesus having a finished plan and purpose for me…a final He made it moment of he made it into adulthood…but I also picture me on Judgement Day going I do not deserve to be here…moment…then I picture Jesus looking up to the Father…and asking Him please see him as Me…then I see all the negative on my scales of Justice…be balanced out with the Love of Jesus…until the Day of my Judgement in the Scales of Justice…I will be here grateful for a breath in my lungs…prayer in my heart…a song on my lips…and an opportunity to learn and grow to fulfill my plan and purpose in Jesus Christ Kingdom…to do better than yesterday…to follow Jesus and learn what would Jesus do…to love my neighbor as myself and to do as much good as I can thank of here in the land of the free and the home of the brave…what are we not free to do here in America…we can do as much good as we can think of as long as we harm no other soul…so I am thankful for the freedom to hear the saving grace of Jesus Christ…His love and adoption of a sinner and changing him into a Son…and His protection and teaching surrounding me as learn the truth and do what is right by Him and His Father…

Grace defined is an undeserved favor…do you deserve Jesus becoming a human and dying on the cross…Is it a favor that God became a man and died for you…so you could learn to practice the truth in righteousness and forsake evil…yes or no? God did not have to do this…we did not deserve this…we did not earn this…favor…God’s only human fathered Son dying and being raised from the dead…so He could teach us the truth and we can learn how to never rebel against God…we learn how to know the right thing to do…to be pleasing not rebellious…

Jesus said…

Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled…Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free…All things have been delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knows the Son, save the Father; neither doth any know the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son wills to reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light…Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst…But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof…(Mat 5:6 John 8:31-32 Matt 11:27-30 John 6:35 Matt 6:30-34)

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born anew. The wind blows where it will, and thou hear the voice thereof, but knowest not whence it cometh, and whither it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven. And he answered and said unto them, Think ye that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans, because they have suffered these things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all in like manner perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish…And afterward he was manifested unto the eleven themselves as they sat at meat; and he upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them that had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieves shall be condemned…(Joh 3:5-8 Mat 10:32-33 Luk 13:2-5 Mar 16:14-16)

Father please cover the faithful and not rebellious with grace mercy peace joy and love and truth so we may they prosper and be in health as our souls prospers…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen
