Waiting on the Lord…

Isa 40:31 AFV But those who wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

We have greater promises found in the New agreement between God and creation in the New Testament (covenant, agreement) of Christ listen…

Heb 8:6-7 AFV But on the other hand, He (Jesus the Christ) has obtained a supremely more excellent ministry, as much greater as the superior covenant of which He is also Mediator, which was established upon superior promises. 7 For if the first covenant had been faultless, then no provision for a second covenant would have been made.

Mar 13:32-37 AFV But concerning that day and the hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. 33 Take heed, be watching and praying. For you do not know when the time is coming. 34 It is like a man journeying to a far country, leaving his house and giving authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and commanding the doorkeeper to watch. 35 Be watching, therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming: at evening, or at midnight, or at the cock's crowing, or in the morning; 36 Lest he come suddenly and find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!"

2Th 1:7-10 AFV And to you, who are persecuted, rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 Dealing out vengeance with flaming fire upon those who do not know God, and those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ; 9 Who will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His strength, 10 When He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in that day in all those who believe (because our testimony was believed by you);

Heb 5:8-9 AFV Although He was a Son, yet He learned obedience from the things that He suffered; 9 And having been perfected, He became the Author of eternal salvation to all those who obey Him…

Mar 12:30-31 AFV And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

Father please meet our soul’s deepest needs, heal our soul’s deepest wounds, and forgive the unforgiven when we deserve it the least and above all help us to be faithful this day…please cover the faithful in grace, mercy, peace, joy, and love in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Waiting on the Lord…

Overcomer for the faith...

Text to be read…

Revelation 21:6 - And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 - He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 15:1 - And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. 2 - And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Revelation 15:3 - And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. - Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

Revelation 21:1-5 - And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. - And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. - And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. - And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Introduction:

Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people. You cannot get to Heaven by mistake. You have to decide to live your life according to Jesus of Nazareth's new agreement between God and mankind called the New Testament or New Covenant of Christ. Jesus of Nazareth is the God of gods and became born of a virgin, named Mary. Jesus, the only Fathered son of the God of Creation, who also known as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jesus the only Fathered Son of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob died a sinless death in the place of you and me. He lived under the law of good and evil taught to us by the sons of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Jesus never choose evil and always choose good. He never violated the law of good and evil or the Old Jewish Law most people call the law of Moses. Jesus remained pure as unleavened bread and became a sacrifice like living bread to give life to all who have faith in His sinless sacrifice of His own human life, Jesus died on the cross and was raised the third day, the first day of the week. Jesus was and is the only human that has lived and never sinned and God was so pleased with His work of reconciliation, God gave Jesus a new agreement to mediate reconciliation with Himself the Creator of All for all of our ungodly ways. Do you believe that Jesus died and was raised three days later in order to make a way of reconciliation with God, a way of redemption, and a way of eternal salvation with our Creator? Yes or No?

a. As it is written: 1 Corinthians 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

3. We have the promise of the holy Spirit praying for us a way of salvation (Rom 8:26)

Conclusion:

We can overcome any form of evil, because we stand with the God of gods Jesus of Nazareth. I have been baptized into His life, death and resurrection and I have eternal life abiding in me thanks to His glorious work of redemption. To all those that know me I am a work in progress, I go to Jesus because I do not have it all figured out. I go to Jesus because I need help to live my life. I go to Jesus for comfort when the devil gets me down. We can overcome any form of temptation, after all…if you don't want what the devil or this world offers you then he will flee James 4:6.

No evil will enter into heaven, so be zealous for good works. If you hang around people doing good things then you will be more likely to do good things as well. Do you have a good work? In the parable of the talents Jesus said to feed, clothe the naked, visit the sick and imprisoned and to help strangers were the works his talents should be used for. Are you truly loving your neighbor as yourself? Remember love works no ill will towards its neighbor…

We believers have the hope and promise of never having to participate in evil or having to choose evil. Jesus promised us a light and easy yoke and rest for the soul. He is the captain and we just follow his lead through the darkness He is the light. Jesus of Nazareth is the author of salvation to all those that obey Him…Jesus Christ said these words… Mar 16:16 The one who believes and is baptized shall be saved, but the one who does not believe shall be condemned.

Father please free us from all forms of evil so we can learn the Truth and do what is right with You our Creator and Your only Son…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Then He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful." 6 And He said to me, "It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.
