Things you lose when you follow Christ teaching…

but now do you also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, railing, shameful speaking out of your mouth: lie not one to another; seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, and have put on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the image of Him that created Him...Colossians 3:8-10. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice: and be you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you...Ephesians 4:31-32. Howbeit if ye fulfil the royal law, according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well...James 2:8.

When we truly love our neighbors as ourselves we begin to change the way we behave. When we truly look to do what is best for someone then we cannot be acting in malice or ill will but are seeking what is best for their soul. We do not want wrath for the things in which we done so we show forgiveness as Jesus teaches us to forgive in order to be forgiven. To love when hated to forgive when wronged…are you loving your neighbor as yourself and forgiving as Christ forgave you…yes or no?

Prayer

Father please remove all the bad in life and help us love our neighbors as our own selves…please meet our soul’s deepest need and heal us from our pasts…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Contentment is wanting what you have…

You shall not covet…more than you have been given. Do you covet more than God has given you? or are you content? I know sometimes I want it all and a box of chocolates…but am grateful I have food, clothing, shelter and a job to help me sustain. Is it hard to see everything you have coming from God…and to want no more than what He has given? Jesus promises enough not a mansion in Malibu. Listen to what Jesus said… But if God doth so clothes the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof...Matthew 6:30-34.

So seek God’s will and not your own…seek God above all things today and tomorrow if the Lord does not come back today. If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. For you died, and your life is hid with Christ in God...Colossians 3:1-3. Are you seeking wisdom…understanding…peace…reconciliation? Yes or no? We are told to go make it right with man so we can be right with God…listen… If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that thy brother hath aught (reason to accuse you of offense) against you, leave there your gift before the altar, and go your way, first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift...Matthew 5:23-24. Are you at peace and reconciled with your brothers and sisters? Yes or no?

Perhaps you were the one offended or done wrong…

Put on therefore, as God's elect, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man have a complaint against any; even as the Lord forgave you, so also do ye: and above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness...Colossians 3:12-14.

We will all answer for our deeds done to others…either good or evil.

For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest unto God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences...2 Corinthians 5:10-11. But even if ye should suffer for righteousness' sake, blessed are you: and fear not their fear, neither be troubled; but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: being ready always to give answer to every man that asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness (obedience) and fear: having a good conscience; that, wherein ye are spoken against, they may be put to shame who revile your good manner of life in Christ...1 Peter 3:14-16. Give diligence to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth...2 Timothy 2:15.

This is the end of the matter; all hath been heard: Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty (plan and purpose) of man. For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil...Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.

Do you fear dying and being judged for your deeds…yes or no? Jesus Christ died on the cross and was raised from the dead so you could change your fate of being punished by God for doing evil deeds. Jesus has already taken care of what you need to do to reconcile with God. You just need to trust in Jesus and obey His message of salvation. We must follow Jesus without fear of death knowing that He gives us eternal life and peace with God as faithfully practice the truth He reveals to us. We must turn from following ourselves in repentance and turning to God with all our heart, mind, and strength. Then faithfully practice the truth revealed to us.

Jesus said…He that believes (the message Jesus died and rose from the grave to supply your salvation) and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieves (rejects the message Jesus died to supply salvation for you) shall be condemned...Mark 16:16. and to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power in flaming fire, rendering vengeance to them that know not God, and to them that obey not the gospel (the message Jesus died and rose from the grave to supply salvation) of our Lord Jesus: who shall suffer punishment, even eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might...2 Thessalonians 1:7-9.

Prayer

Father our Creator please give me more fear of Jesus and You so I can depart from evil and be zealous and repent of any of my evil deeds…please meet my soul’s deepest needs so I can prosper and be in health as my soul prospers…please heal me of the damage of my past and I forgive all others so I can be healed…please pour in Your oil…and give me a sound mind heart and spirit in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
