Are you worth your salt…

You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost its savor (saving influence), wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under foot of men...Matthew 5:13. For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest unto God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences...2 Corinthians 5:10-11. I charge you in the sight of God, and of Christ Jesus, who shall judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables...2 Timothy 4:1-4.

Salt not only has a taste but is a preservative extending the life of the meat it preserves. It helps save it from rot. We are the saving or preserving influence here on earth. If we have lost our saltiness then we are good for nothing. Are you worth your salt?

We will all appear before Judge Jesus either; we have done good deeds or evil and be judge properly for our deeds done. It is the fear of God knowing we will be judged for our deeds which should cause us to behave according to being judged for good deeds. Do you preach the word? Or do you preach opinions of men? Do you teach others through example and word? We are to reprove the errors we hear make the sayings line up with the truth or cause someone to rethink their position. We are to rebuke or just tell them they wrong. We are to exhort or to encourage others to be faithful with the truth from the New Agreement of Christ and teach the truth of Jesus and His Church.

Prayer

Father please help us be worth our salt and help us preach the word and meet our soul’s deepest needs…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

We must develop a it is written vocabulary…

It is written…

Give diligence to present yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth...2 Timothy 2:15. To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. They profess that they know God; but by their works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate (unfaithful)...Titus 1:15-16. Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness: that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work...2 Timothy 3:16-17.

Do you have a it is written vocabulary?

We must have authority for everything we do in faith. Our authority comes from the written word of God. We need a what did Jesus say or where is it written mentality. So we can think on God instructions…prescriptions…remedies and be saved. The Bible is the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth have you ever read the entire Bible? Have you at least read the new agreement call the New Testament of Christ…yes or no? Where does your truth come from a man or the inspired record called the Bible?

Are you well versed…

God with the Jews handed down the Ten Commandments. God’s prophets in the old agreement called the Old Testament wrote down the messages so they could be remembered and learned from in order to produce faithfulness. The New Testament of Christ is no different. It is written down to inform us of the teaching that will please God. If you do not read the bible you could easily be led into error of a false teaching or a false teacher.

Prayer

Father please grant us the wisdom and understanding needed to read and understand the bible especially the New Testament so we can learn what to do to please You our Creator…and may we prosper and be in health as our soul prospers…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
