We walk by faith and not by sight…

For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but so to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith...Romans 12:3

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ liveth in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me...Galatians 2:20.

if so be that ye continue in the faith, grounded and stedfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which ye heard, which was preached in all creation under heaven; whereof I Paul was made a minister...Colossians 1:23.

Hereby we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is begotten of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that hath overcome the world, even our faith. And who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God...1 John 5:2-5.

Faith is rooted in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our belief that God has sent His only Son to be a forever atoning sacrifice for our sins and the work Jesus did on the cross cause us to change and become like God. We learn a way of truth telling and begin practicing the truth we have revealed to us through faith in Jesus and what is written in the New Testament of Christ. This faith of living and breathing for God and His Son Jesus changes our day-to-day life. Each of us can call on God and find faith in our daily activities. May we each learn to exercise faith and practice the truth revealed to us.

Prayer

Father please give us more faith and reveal more truth and meet our soul’s deepest needs as we learn to obey You and Your only Son Jesus teachings in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Speak where God has spoken and have a…it is written… vocabulary for unity and peace.

God forbid: yes, let God be found true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That you might be justified in your words, And might prevail when you come into judgment...Romans 3:4. Jesus said… Sanctify them in the truth: Your word is truth...John 17:17. Now I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment...1 Corinthians 1:10.

We will be judged by Jesus and His Apostle’s teaching…

For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without the law: and as many as have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law; for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified...Romans 2:12-13. So speak you, and so do, as men that are to be judged by a law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to him that hath showed no mercy: mercy glories against judgment...James 2:12-13. For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries. A man that hath set at nought (nothing) Moses' law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses: of how much sorer punishment, think you, shall he be judged worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?...Hebrews 10:26-29.

Speak where the bible speaks and be silent where the bible is silent…

Give diligence to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth...2 Timothy 2:15. Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness: that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work...2 Timothy 3:16-17. For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest unto God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences...2 Corinthians 5:10-11.

Prayer

Father help us speak where You have spoken and be silent where You have remained silent, help us to remember Your Son’s teaching of truth and practice it faithfully, please meet our soul’s deepest needs and show us mercy, grace, peace, joy, and love…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Are you worth your salt…

You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost its savor (saving influence), wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under foot of men...Matthew 5:13. I charge you in the sight of God, and of Christ Jesus, who shall judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables...2 Timothy 4:1-4.

Salt not only has a taste but is a preservative extending the life of the meat it preserves. It helps save it from rot. We are the saving or preserving influence here on earth. If we have lost our saltiness then we are good for nothing. Are you worth your salt?

We will all appear before Judge Jesus either; we have done good deeds or evil and be judge properly for our deeds done. It is the fear of God knowing we will be judged for our deeds which should cause us to behave according to being judged for good deeds. Do you preach the word? Or do you preach opinions of men? Do you teach others through example and word? We are to reprove the errors we hear make the sayings line up with the truth or cause someone to rethink their position. We are to rebuke or just tell them they wrong. We are to exhort or to encourage others to be faithful with the truth from the New Agreement of Christ and teach the truth of Jesus and His Church.

Prayer

Father please help us be worth our salt and help us preach the word and meet our soul’s deepest needs…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
