The plan and purpose of a parable…the earthly truth laid beside a heavenly truth…to aid in understanding and fulfilling your plan and purpose in the kingdom of God

And the disciples came, and said unto (Jesus) Him, Why speak You unto them in parables?

…And Jesus answered and said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever has (faithfulness with the truth), to him shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but whosoever has not (has no faithfulness with the truth), from him shall be taken away even that which he has. Therefore speak I to them in parables; because seeing they see not (they refuse to live the truth they have seen), and hearing they hear not (they heard the truth but deny its existence teaching their opinions), neither do they understand (understand the truth or why they deny the truth)…

…And unto them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall in no wise understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall in no wise perceive: (they have seen the truth and heard the truth but refuse to understand God’s will and do it…they rather teach the commandments of men not God) For this people's heart is waxed gross (they are abominable), And their ears are dull of hearing (they are used to another lie from a man), And their eyes they have closed (they have been hurt by the lies and actions of their teachers)

…Lest haply they should perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And should turn again (try to draw close to God through obeying the truth) And I should heal them. But blessed are your (Jesus’s disciples) eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which ye (you all…y’all…lol) see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not. (Mat 13:10-17 ASV)

Another parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: which indeed is less than all seeds; but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the heaven come and lodge in the branches thereof. (Mat 13:31-32 ASV)

Prayer

Father please open our eyes and ears and hearts to understand the truth and be wise with the truth so we can be healed and not hurt again by the teaching and actions of those who are not You and Your Only Fathered Son Jesus…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

The child of God…said do not judge me but help me be better

And do not judge others, so that you yourself will not be judged in any way. Do not condemn others, so that you will not be condemned in any way. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven. Give, and it shall be given to you. Good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you mete out, it shall be measured again to you." Then He spoke a parable to them, saying, "Is a blind man able to lead a blind man? Will not both fall into the ditch?... (Luk 6:37-39)

There is only One Door into Heaven…

…For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ so that each one may receive according to the things done in his body—what he has practiced, whether good or evil… (2Co 5:10)

Have you ever met Jesus in judgment…

…But the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone; which is the second death. (Rev 21:8 AFV)

Blessed are the Peacemakers…

Reminder obedience is learned through suffering…

Jesus said…Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you…

…(Jesus Christ) Though he were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered; And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him…

…For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. (Mat 5:9-12 KJV Heb 5:8-9 KJV Joh 3:16-17 KJV)

Exhortation to be a faithful Saint…a Soldier of Christ…

You therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strives for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strives lawfully… ?

…My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into (different) divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing… Wherefore let him that thinketh he stands take heed lest he fall…

…There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

(2Ti 2:3-5 KJV Jas 1:2-4 KJV 1Co 10:12-14 KJV)

Exhortation to make Jesus’ table your only table…

… What say I then? that the idol is anything, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything? But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than He? …

…Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw (near) nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up…

…Jesus said… If any man come to Me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after Me, cannot be my disciple.

(1Co 10:19-22 KJV Jas 4:7-10 KJV Luk 14:26-27 KJV)

Exhortation to be faithful to Jesus under trials…

And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you art rebuked of Him: For whom the Lord loveth He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens (discipline) not? But if you be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are you bastards, and not sons…

…Be you also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws (near) nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest you be condemned: behold, the Judge stands before the door. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy…

…For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For what glory is it, if, when you be buffeted for your faults, you shall take it patiently? but if, when you do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. For even hereunto were you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth: Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judges righteously: Who His own Self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

(Heb 12:5-8 KJV 1Pe 2:19-25 KJV Jas 5:8-11 KJV)

Exhortation to be maintain good works until Jesus comes back…

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them…

… For the grace of God that bringeth salvation has appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works…

… This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that you affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition (encouragement to be faithful) reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sins, being condemned of himself.

(Rev 14:12-13 KJV Tit 2:11-14 KJV Tit 3:8-11 KJV)

The Soldier of Christ...A Christian Anthem.

I am a soldier of Christ. The Lord Jesus is my commanding officer. The Holy Bible is my code of conduct. Faith, prayer and the Word are my weapons of warfare. I have been taught the Word of God, trained by experience, tried by adversity and tested by fire. I am a volunteer in this army, and I am enlisted for eternity. I will retire in this army at time’s end, or die in this army, but I will not sell out, be talked out or be pushed out. I am a soldier of Christ. I am faithful, reliable, capable and dependable.

If my God needs me in Sunday school, to teach children, work with youth, help adults or just sit and learn, He can use me because I am here. I am in place, saluting my King, obeying His orders, praising His name and building up His Kingdom. I do not need to be cuddled, cradled or catered to. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me or lure me.

I am a soldier of Christ. I am committed. I cannot have my feelings hurt badly enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to be turned aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit. When Jesus called me into His army, I had nothing. If I end up with nothing, I will break even. I will win. My God will supply all my needs. I am more than a conqueror. I will always triumph. I am a soldier of Christ. I can do all things through Christ. Demons cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me. Battle cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me. Governments cannot silence me, and Hell cannot handle me. Even death cannot destroy me, for when my commander calls me from this battlefield, He will promote me to live with Him.

I am a soldier of Christ. I am marching, claiming victory. I will not give up. I will not turn around. I am a soldier marching Heaven bound. Here I stand. Will you stand with me?

Prayer

Father show us mercy and reveal the truth we need to correct ourselves in order to be right with You and meet our deepest needs as we learn to humbly obey You and Your Only Son…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
