Are you called…one of the chosen…

And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to His (God’s) purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren: and whom He foreordained, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them he also glorified...Romans 8:28-30. even as He (God) chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before Him in love: having foreordained us unto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ unto himself, according to the good pleasure of His will...Ephesians 1:4-5. And if ye call on Him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man's work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear: knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain (empty) manner of life handed down from your fathers; but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, even the blood of Christ: who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was manifested at the end of the times for your sake, who through Him are believers in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave Him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God...1 Peter 1:17-21.

Do you have a plan and purpose in Christ…

Are you feeling alone and isolated or are you feeling connected to Jesus because you have an obedient faith? Jesus is calling you to His side to learn of Him and to follow and practice the truth He reveals. Do you want a perfect Father named Jesus whom you can call on…then repent and be baptized listen to what is written… And Peter said unto them, Repent you, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto Him...Acts 2:38-39.

If you are called by God then you must enter the same way the first Christians entered the kingdom of God by repented or forsaking all evil and being baptized for the remission of your sins. The word remission is like when cancer goes into remission. Sin although present does not harm you and Jesus your eternal savior teaches and coaches you through life leading you with the truth as you learn and grow to His likeness. Have you repented and been baptized…yes or no? If you are called of God then this is the way you must enter the kingdom of God…Jesus said… He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieves shall be condemned...Mark 16:16.

If you are headed in the wrong direction…then God allows U-turns…called repentance...

From that time began Jesus to preach, and to say, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand...Matthew 4:17. For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation, a repentance which bringeth no regret: but the sorrow of the world worketh death...2 Corinthians 7:10. I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish (die)...Luke 13:5.

Repentance is a change of heart…feeling sorry for our poor behavior…change in mind…deciding to do better and make better decisions…and a change in direction…fulfilling the change heart and mind with changed deeds. It is a U-turn if you will away from selfish desires and actions to a God oriented direction. Have you ever made a commitment to God I did when I was baptized… And the Lord's servant must not strive, but be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing, in meekness correcting them that oppose themselves; if peradventure (perhaps) God may give them repentance unto the knowledge of the truth, and they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him unto his will...2 Timothy 2:24-26. It says God may grant us repentance…we need God to change according to His truth.

Prayer

Father please grant us repentance where needed and meet our soul’s deepest needs…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Do you want to go to heaven when you die?

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into His death? Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life...Romans 6:1-4. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth...Colossians 3:1-2. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God...Romans 8:10-14.

What is the grace…Gifts…Received…Although…Christians…Err…

We receive the gifts we need although we are learning how to be fit for Heaven and make mistakes. Grace is the forgiveness needed to be made righteous because we have been obedient to Jesus by being baptized and are learning a better way to live our lives. Do you have to practice perfect doctrine to go to heaven? Do you have to have the New Testament memorized to go to heaven…no. However you have to trust in Christ and remain faithful to Him and the truth revealed unto you. Jesus said the truth sets us free and Jesus is the truth…He reveals the truth and then we must learn to practice the truth He reveals to us. Blessed are those whom God does not impute sin to but righteousness. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ....Galatians 3:27. Putting on Christ through baptism is like God seeing Jesus not ourselves when He looks upon us. He sees Jesus sinless life and our willingness to learn to be righteous because we are clothed in the righteousness of Jesus not that of ourselves.

Prayer

Father please reveal the truth to us so we can learn to become righteous as You are righteous please remember we are but children in diapers before You trying to remain faithful…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
