You must forsake evil or repent to live in the eternal heaven…

For godly grief (sorrow) produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death...2 Corinthians 7:10.

Repentance starts in the mind…as in you hear of knowledge that what you have done is wrong or evil. Then this knowledge causes you to consider wrong and right in your heart…then you decided if you change your behavior to fit the knowledge revealed unto you…it involves a change of mind…hearing new knowledge or facts…which results in a change of heart…the desire to be more moral like God…then a change in direction or living according to the decision made to more like God or to be more moral. Some people are sorry they got caught stealing because they will suffer the consequences…others are sorry they stole and did not mean to do wrong. Some change and rejoice because the new knowledge…the new morals…the new direction will lead to salvation in eternal Heaven…others are sorry it does not meet social standards.

What does repentance mean…

When a person repents of a telling a lie…it means you will never lie again. When a person repents of stealing it means they will never steal again. When a person repents of murdering it means they will never murder again. When a person repents of coveting it means they will not want other people’s blessings. When a person repents of adultery…means they will never have sex outside of marriage again.

God requires repentance according to His moral standard of the Ten Commandments…which can be summed up in terms of treating our neighbor as ourself…you do not like your money to be stolen so do not steal…you do not like to be lied to so do not lie…you do not like to be killed…so do not murder…you do not want people eyeing your blessings…so do not covet another’s blessings…the ten commandments was the minimum standard of the Jew…and thus Jesus being from the tribe of Judah to be called sinless…if One soul could keep them without fault and Jesus the Christ of Nazareth did never break one of these Ten Commandments…and was and is sinless.

The Ten Commandments…

1.      Thou shalt have no other gods before Me Exo 20:3

2.      Thou shalt not make unto thee a graven image Exo 20:4-6

3.      Thou shalt not take the name of God in vain Exo 20:7

4.      Honor thy father and thy mother Exo 20:12

5.      Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Exo 20:8…John 4:20-26…1 Cor 16:1-2…the first day now.

6.      Thou shalt not kill. Exo 20:13

7.      Thou shalt not commit adultery. Exo 20:14

8.      Thou shalt not steal. Exo 20:15

9.      Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Exo 20:16

10.  Thou shalt not covet Exo 20:17

Jesus required and told others to repent or they would die…

Now there were some present at that very season who told him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And He answered and said unto them, Think ye that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans, because they have suffered these things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all in like manner perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish...Luke 13:1-5.

You cannot willfully break one of the Ten Commandments and please God…you must forsake your behavior and conform to God’s standard…

For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries...Hebrews 10:26-27.

Listen to what Peter told those Jews He accused of killing Jesus…

Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made Him (Jesus) both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do (we murdered the Christ)?

…And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto Him...Acts 2:36-39.

We must change and be like our Father in Heaven…just like our dads here on earth teach us their commandments or ways of living. Our Heavenly Father…the Creator…the Great I am having a moral code which is the morals found in the Ten Commandments…Can you read the Ten Commandments and say I have never broken one of these…yes or no?

If you have broken one these then you need forgiveness from God…just like Peter told those who killed Jesus.

Jesus died having never broken any of the Commandments of God and laid down His sinless life so our Father in Heaven would forgive you and I of breaking His moral code or heart…Do you believe Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead so you and I could be forgiven…yes or no?

Are you like those who murder or crucified Jesus…and need forgiveness of stealing…lying…murdering…coveting…adultery… or any other commandments…yes or no?

If you do not repent…then you can find no forgiveness…listen

For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries. A man that hath set at nought Moses' law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses: of how much sorer punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know Him that said, Vengeance belongs unto Me, I will recompense. And again, The Lord shall judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God...Hebrews 10:26-31.

You are predetermined or predestined to become a Christian in order to be saved…

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places (the current spiritual heaven and the new heaven) in Christ: even as He (God) chose us in Him before the foundation of the world (predetermined by the time period we (you and I) were born in…after the cross or the death burial and resurrection of Jesus from the dead or before the cross), that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love: having foreordained (predetermined those of us after the cross) us unto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ unto Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved: in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace (un-earned favor)…and you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works, yet now hath He reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before Him: if so be that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you (all) heard, which was preached in all creation under heaven… Wherefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well-pleasing unto Him. For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad. (we were born after the cross of Jesus meaning after He died and was raised from the dead…therefore if you want to be saved from the sins of the past you must become a Christian…there is no other way to be saved from the evil deeds you and I have done…ben) (Eph 1:3-7 ASV Col 1:21-23 ASV 2Co 5:9-10 ASV)

We are all just children in dirty diapers before Jesus the God of gods…

(Jesus)…said, Verily I say unto you, Except you turn (forsake evil), and become as little children, you shall in no wise (no wise way) enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receives Me: but whoso shall cause one of these little ones that believe on Me to stumble, (tempt no believer in Christ) it is profitable for him that a great millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be sunk in the depth of the sea. (better off dead than to cause a Christian to error)… Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God… (this is how you become a child of God being born of the water (baptism and then receive the promise of the Holy Spirit)… Now when they (the ones which had a part in Jesus death or knew Jesus was already raised and ascended into heaven) heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do? (to be saved He is no longer here)…And Peter said unto them, Repent you (forsake everything created and surrender to Jesus Christ’s will only), and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto Him. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you (all) forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (some people you have to forgive because they exist like satan) (Mat 18:3-6 ASV Joh 3:5 ASV Act 2:37-39 ASV Mat 6:14-15 ASV)

Do you have the witness of the blood (forgiveness from Jesus) water (baptized into Christ Gal 3:27) and the Spirit (faithfully given at baptism as a promise unless rejected)?

For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son (the only Human who was Fathered by God so no man could say he was greater), that whosoever believes on Him should (not will not but should obey the teachings of Jesus) not perish, but have eternal life. For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through Him… This is He that came by water (Jesus baptism) and blood (shed His blood on the cross), even Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. And it is the Spirit that bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three who bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and the three agree in one… He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieves (acts as if Jesus did not exist or died for them)  shall be condemned (into the lake of fire). And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken unto them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen. (do you need confirmation that Jesus died and rose from the dead? Yes or no?) Mar 16:16-20 ASV Joh 3:16-17 ASV 1Jn 5:6-8 ASV

Prayer…

Father please keep us faithful and confirm this truth to us so we can know the truth and be set free from all the false witnesses which pretend to be the Way of Salvation…please provide for all our needs spiritual, physical, and emotional in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Blessed are the Peacemakers…

Reminder obedience is learned through suffering…

Jesus said…Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you…

…(Jesus Christ) Though he were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered; And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him…

…For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. (Mat 5:9-12 KJV Heb 5:8-9 KJV Joh 3:16-17 KJV)

Exhortation to be a faithful Saint…a Soldier of Christ…

You therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strives for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strives lawfully… ?

…My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into (different) divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing… Wherefore let him that thinketh he stands take heed lest he fall…

…There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

(2Ti 2:3-5 KJV Jas 1:2-4 KJV 1Co 10:12-14 KJV)

Exhortation to make Jesus’ table your only table…

… What say I then? that the idol is anything, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything? But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than He? …

…Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw (near) nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up…

…Jesus said… If any man come to Me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after Me, cannot be my disciple.

(1Co 10:19-22 KJV Jas 4:7-10 KJV Luk 14:26-27 KJV)

Exhortation to be faithful to Jesus under trials…

And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you art rebuked of Him: For whom the Lord loveth He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens (discipline) not? But if you be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are you bastards, and not sons…

…Be you also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws (near) nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest you be condemned: behold, the Judge stands before the door. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy…

…For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For what glory is it, if, when you be buffeted for your faults, you shall take it patiently? but if, when you do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. For even hereunto were you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth: Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judges righteously: Who His own Self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

(Heb 12:5-8 KJV 1Pe 2:19-25 KJV Jas 5:8-11 KJV)

Exhortation to be maintain good works until Jesus comes back…

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them…

… For the grace of God that bringeth salvation has appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works…

… This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that you affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition (encouragement to be faithful) reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sins, being condemned of himself.

(Rev 14:12-13 KJV Tit 2:11-14 KJV Tit 3:8-11 KJV)

The Soldier of Christ...A Christian Anthem.

I am a soldier of Christ. The Lord Jesus is my commanding officer. The Holy Bible is my code of conduct. Faith, prayer and the Word are my weapons of warfare. I have been taught the Word of God, trained by experience, tried by adversity and tested by fire. I am a volunteer in this army, and I am enlisted for eternity. I will retire in this army at time’s end, or die in this army, but I will not sell out, be talked out or be pushed out. I am a soldier of Christ. I am faithful, reliable, capable and dependable.

If my God needs me in Sunday school, to teach children, work with youth, help adults or just sit and learn, He can use me because I am here. I am in place, saluting my King, obeying His orders, praising His name and building up His Kingdom. I do not need to be cuddled, cradled or catered to. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me or lure me.

I am a soldier of Christ. I am committed. I cannot have my feelings hurt badly enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to be turned aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit. When Jesus called me into His army, I had nothing. If I end up with nothing, I will break even. I will win. My God will supply all my needs. I am more than a conqueror. I will always triumph. I am a soldier of Christ. I can do all things through Christ. Demons cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me. Battle cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me. Governments cannot silence me, and Hell cannot handle me. Even death cannot destroy me, for when my commander calls me from this battlefield, He will promote me to live with Him.

I am a soldier of Christ. I am marching, claiming victory. I will not give up. I will not turn around. I am a soldier marching Heaven bound. Here I stand. Will you stand with me?

Prayer

Father show us mercy and reveal the truth we need to correct ourselves in order to be right with You and meet our deepest needs as we learn to humbly obey You and Your Only Son…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
