The three temptations of Jesus by satan…

…And the tempter came and said unto Him, If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread. But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

…Then the devil taketh Him into the holy city; and He set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and saith unto Him, If You art the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and, On their hands they shall bear thee up, Lest haply You dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, Again it is written, you shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God.

…Again, the devil taketh Him unto an exceeding high mountain, and shows Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and He said unto Him, All these things will I give thee, if You wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, you shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt you serve.

…Then the devil leaves Him; and behold, angels came and ministered unto Him...Matthew 4:3-11.

The first temptation of Jesus…

If you be the Son of God…then command these stones to become bread…

Satan used the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes to tempt Jesus along with the pride of self in life…Jesus after having fasted for forty days was hungry…Satan used the lust of the flesh…hence making stones bread appealed to Him. Satan used the lust of the eyes…hence looking at bread when hungry appealed to Him…Satan used the pride of self in life…hence if You be the Son of God then make…Jesus never fell to the first temptation but quoted what is written…Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

The Second temptation of Jesus

If You be the Son of God cast yourself down for He shall give His angels charge concerning You and on their hands they shall bear You up…

Satan again used the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes to tempt Jesus alone with the pride or self in life…Jesus was tempted by the lust of the flesh in…He could have wanted to feel a Holy angel’s presence or hands…Jesus was tempted to with the lust of the eyes…He could have wanted to see the unseen angels…Jesus was tempted by the pride or self in life because they could have saved Him and obeyed Him…Jesus never fell to the second temptation…but quoted what is written…You shall not make a trial of the Lord your God. In my words, He said do not jump in the fire Satan then ask God to save you.

The third temptation of Jesus

All these things…the glory and the kingdoms of the world…will I give You if you fall down and worship me.

Satan again used the lust of the flesh and eyes to tempt Jesus along with the pride of self in life. Jesus seen all the food and good these other kingdoms did and would not have to suffer any longer in the flesh. Jesus was tempted by the lust of the eyes…He seen He could have authority over all these other nations and never have to do anything but commit idolatry. Jesus was tempted by the pride of self in life…He would not have to suffer and learn obedience by dying for sinners...He could be the Authority without having to suffer obedience unto death. Jesus did not fall but quoted as it is written…you shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt you serve.

All three temptations had this in common…the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of self in life.

Jesus could have turned stones into bread…Jesus could have commanded the angels to make Him not fall…Jesus could have committed idolatry and receive authority over the earth without any form of obedience or suffering. Jesus was tempted as it is written…

For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help us in time of need...Hebrews 4:15-16.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vainglory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abides for ever...1 John 2:15-17.

We have these promises of assurance…as it is written…

Wherefore let him that thinketh he stands take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such as man can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry...1 Corinthians 10:12-14.

And in like manner the Spirit also helps our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered; and He that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose...Romans 8:26-28.

Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed Him, If you abide in my word, then are you truly my disciples; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free...John 8:31-32. …You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and stands not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof...John 8:44. …I am the door; by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture. The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep...John 10:9-11.

Jesus was born of a virgin and never broke any of the Commandments of the law but was under the standard of the Ten Commandments. Jesus never broke any of the Ten Commandments being from the tribe of Judah and not from the tribe of Levi. In any of these temptations, Jesus never broke one of the Ten Commandments. Then by learning obedience as it is written…though He was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which He suffered; and having been made perfect, He became unto all them that obey Him the Author of eternal salvation; named of God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek...Hebrews 5:8-10.

Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead in order that we all could be saved from our disobedience to God, because unlike Jesus we all like sheep have gone astray. Do you believe Jesus died and was raised from the dead…yes or no? Do you want to be tempted away from God’s side…yes or no? Do you want to be saved from eternal punishment…forever being destroyed in fire because of your rebellion to God…yes or no?

Jesus said as it is written…after His resurrection and dying on the cross…to the 11 remaining disciples…

… Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieves (disobeys)  shall be condemned. And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover...Mark 16:15-18.

…So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken unto them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen...Mark 16:19-20.

Prayer

Father please help us not to be tempted…we struggle enough by ourselves…we renounce Satan and his temptations...please create in us a desire not to love the world or the things in the world…help us not to love our lives unto death so we may prosper and be in health as our soul prospers in Christ…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

We are all just children in diapers before God…

In that hour came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And He called to Him a little child, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye turn, and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven…Matthew 18:1-4.

Which one of us can look at God and say why have you made me this way…we all must be like the child and say teach me better…I am but in diapers before You the Almighty please reveal the truth to me so I can learn to be like You…Daddy…Abba.

If you adopt (receive) a Child for Jesus then you receive Jesus…

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receives Me: but whoso shall cause one of these little ones that believe on Me to stumble, it is profitable for him that a great millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be sunk in the depth of the sea...(to die rather than to tempt a believer) Matthew 18:5-6. Wherefore let him that thinketh he stands take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such as man (any in mankind) can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that ye may be able to endure it. Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry...1 Corinthians 10:12-14.

Will you receive your own kids in your household in Jesus name by teaching them the truth about Jesus being the only way of salvation…yes or no?

You cannot be the tempter teaching children (believers) to sin or make them fall and please God…it betrays innocent and causes you to shed “innocent blood”. Any believer which falls…it causes Jesus to bleed more for them because they fell…or perhaps they never return from the false teaching or perhaps they will learn the truth and be saved. Whosoever goes onward and abides (lives it out) not in the teaching of Christ, hath not God: he that abides (lives) in the teaching, the same hath both the Father and the Son...2 John 1:9.

Having Jesus means you will have the necessities of life…

Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to Me shall not hunger, and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst...John 6:35. But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles (unbelievers) seek; for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first His kingdom, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Be not therefore anxious (worried) for the morrow (future): for the morrow (future day) will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof...Matthew 6:30-34.

If you change your now then you change your future…get the first things right and the big things you worry with will work out…obey Jesus in the little things called the truth and He will handle the big things. Do you want to go to heaven and have Jesus as the Good Shepherd looking after your soul…yes or no?

Jesus can create you whatever you may need…

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him; and without Him was not anything made that hath been made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended (comprehended) it not...John 1:1-5. All things have been delivered unto Me of my Father: and no one knows the Son, save the Father; neither doth any know the Father, save the Son, and He to whomsoever the Son wills to reveal Him. Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke (Teaching of the truth which sets you free from evil) upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek (obedient) and lowly (humble) in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke (truth) is easy, and my burden is light...Matthew 11:27-30. For it became Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the Author of their salvation perfect through sufferings…Hebrews 2:10.

Jesus suffered the scourging, the death of the cross and was raised from the dead in order to be The Author of Salvation. Have you asked the Good Shepherd of souls to Author you a plan of redemption, reconciliation with God and a plan of salvation…yes or no?

Prayer

Our Father who is in Heaven…please meet our needs we know You know what we need more than the things we worry about…please continue to raise us in Christ just like children in diapers…In Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

What is the Royal Law in Scripture?

Howbeit if ye fulfil the royal law, according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well: but if ye have respect of persons, ye commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is become guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou dost not commit adultery, but kill (murder) thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as men that are to be judged by a law of liberty...James 2:8-12.

Jesus said as it is written…

And one of the scribes came, and heard them questioning together, and knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, What commandment is the first of all? Jesus answered, The first is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, the Lord is one: and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. The second is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And the scribe said unto him, Of a truth, Teacher, thou hast well said that he is one; and there is none other but he: and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is much more than all whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices. And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question...Mark 12:28-34.

Treat everyone like Jesus and be blessed…

Servants, be obedient unto them that according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; not in the way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; with good will doing service, as unto the Lord, and not unto men: knowing that whatsoever good thing each one doeth, the same shall he receive again from the Lord, whether he be bond or free. And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, and forbear threatening: knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no respect of persons with him...Ephesians 6:5-9.

In Jesus life as a Jew…He said Love God first and your neighbor second…After His death burial and resurrection…the Holy Spirit inspired with the same Authority as Jesus in the book of James…to kept the royal law of love your neighbor as yourself. Then in Ephesians the Holy Spirit tells us if we treat everyone even a mean slave master as Jesus we will receive the same good we have judged. So treat everyone like Jesus as your neighbor and really the only difference between Jesus we read about and the Jesus which sits in the throne is distance and sight. So if you treat Jesus like Jesus, Him being God and others like Jesus you are fulfilling the royal law love your neighbor as yourself. So treat everyone like baby Jesus and ask what does baby Jesus need and how can I give it to Him?

Prayer

Father please forgive us of all our past judgements and help us to treat everyone like Jesus so we can fulfill the one true law love your neighbor as yourself and I know You are the best neighbor even though only distance is between us…IN Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
