Do you major in the major things of God…? Try…A…Pause for Prayer and Devotional a Wellsaid Christian Devotional about the teachings of Jesus…

First things first…have you done the most important…obedience to God’s word…

Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, (lip service) shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied (told the truth of your word) in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity (work apart from God)...Matthew 7:21-23.

Building a congregation will not get you into heaven…doing many wonderful works like building church buildings will not get you into Heaven…preaching a sermon will not get you into Heaven… getting rid of devils will not get you into Heaven…UNLESS it is the will of the Father…Unless you are “In Christ” working with Him and allowing Him to work through you…Have you done the first things first…listen to what Jesus told a Jew named Nicodemus… Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again...John 3:5-7.

Have you been born of the water and the Spirit like Jesus told this man…yes or no?

Jesus said…He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned...Mark 16:16. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that does evil hate the light (does not want to do it Jesus’ way but the way they think is better) neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest (made known either good or evil), that they are wrought (sanctified…established or nullified) in God...John 3:19-21.

People do not want to admit or confess they have been wrong…so do not come to Jesus…

Jesus said people hate the light because it means they must admit they do not understand good or evil but will have to accept Jesus’ judgement of their deeds…as if they have never really obeyed or done God’s will…but their own will and called it God’s will. Have they done what they thought God wanted or perhaps have done that which they thought was evil or done their own moral compass. They will have to admit their ways lead to hopeless end…are not God’s ways…their morals are not God’s morals. In other words…every “good” or bad thing I have ever done…when I came to God, I surrendered all of it to Jesus will. Many of my deeds were reprovable and some I had to do no more…I had to confess I was wrong and learn to do better or God’s way.

Have you been baptized into Christ…yes or no?

If not, then how you know there is no difference than before and after baptism…either way at least you have done what Jesus said about being born of the water and the Spirit. Many do not believe you have to be born of the water and the Spirit in baptism…many will be lost. I felt peace with God and creation…it felt good knowing I was at peace with the Creator for once in my life…hope you to will know peace with God one day.

Prayer

Father please continue to convert me and reprove my works, so that I am In You and You in me…please I have been baptized. Please be in me…on me…and work through me… that we may have a relationship…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Do you have love for another soul…

Yes or no?

Do you have ears to hear…the truth from God…

Now there went with Him great multitudes (many people) and He (Jesus) turned, and said unto them…

…If any man comes unto Me, and hates not his own father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple…(Luke 14:25-26)

(If any soul…does not hate every other soul which does not abide in Jesus…then Jesus will not adopt him as a disciple, by revealing a greater or more important truth for his soul to prosper and grow in Christ.)

Jesus said as it is written…Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal…

(How do you obtain treasure in Heaven?)... for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The lamp of the body (flesh) is the eye (the lust of the eyes needs to be Holy not of the world) if therefore Your eye be single (visioning the Holy treasure), your whole body shall be full of light (Jesus also said…He is the Light of the world…it will be full of Jesus vision for you and your life). But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness. (evil consists of three things…the lust of the flesh…what the body craves…the lust of the eyes…coveting and envy wanting what God has given you…and the pride of life…I am better than other people) If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is the darkness! (each religion has some form of godliness to counterfeit the Holy…if those counterfeit blessing are not from the Holy One then you are spreading evil not God’s will)

…No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (everything not God which most consider the love of money being the root of evil…because money can get most people the lust of the flesh…lust of the eyes…and allows people to assume they are better than the poor) (Mat 6:19-24 ASV)

Question to ask or check your heart…Do you despise having to give money to God when you give to the poor? Or Do you hold to giving to the poor because Jesus is the reason you have money?

Question to ask or check your heart…Do you hate to give money to the poor or do you love the opportunity to share what God has given you?

As it is written Jesus said…Whosoever does not bear his own cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:27)

…So therefore whosoever he be of you that renounce not all that he has, he cannot be my disciple. (we essentially have nothing but what God has given us…we did not control the parents we were born into either rich or poor…we do not control the circumstances we have been thrown into…who can control his own health or determine his own parents?

…Salt therefore is good: but if even the salt has already lost its savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned? (salt is preservative…an influencer of taste…when you are thrown into troubled waters…do you influence the situation or do you preserve God’s will with the good news of Jesus and or prayer? Or do learn how to walk on the trouble seas like Peter and Jesus...salt which has not saving influence or taste?) It is fit neither for the land nor for the dunghill: men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. (Luk 14:33-35 ASV)

Are you the salt for Jesus…can you be His disciple?

Have you been baptized for Jesus…yes or no?

Will you be baptized for Jesus…yes or no?

Will you surrender all by renouncing everyone including your own life and live for Jesus?

Prayer

Father who is in Heaven…please save us from the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride in life and possessions or positions in life…and meet our deepest needs…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Jesus of Nazareth said, as it is written in Matthew 9:12-13, “But when Jesus heard this, He said, "It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion , and not sacrifice ,' for I did not come to call the righteous,, but sinners."

Did Jesus also say, He came to call the sinners to repentance?

Jesus of Nazareth said this to religious leaders, as it is written Matthew 23:23-14, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.”

Did Jesus say, treating people with right judgement, mercy and faith, was more important that giving money?

Yes or No?

Jesus of Nazareth said these words as it is written, John 3:3-5, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

Did Jesus of Nazareth say you cannot enter into the kingdom of God, unless you have been born again of water and the Spirit?

Yes or No?

Jesus of Nazareth said these words as it is written, Mark 16:15-16, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

Did Jesus of Nazareth say, he that believes and is baptized will be saved?

Yes or No?

Do you want to be saved and go to heaven?

Yes or No?

What do you think is Jesus of Nazareth’s will for you to do today?

Jesus of Nazareth said these words as it is written, John 8:31-32, “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Jesus of Nazareth said these words as it is written, Mat 11:28-30, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls . For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Yes or No?

Jesus of Nazareth said these words as it is written, John 6:35, “Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.”

Did Jesus of Nazareth say if you come to Him, you will never hunger or thirst?

Yes or No?

Jesus of Nazareth said these words as it is written, Mat 6:30-34, “But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?' or ‘What will we drink?' or ‘What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Did Jesus say we have to seek first His kingdom and righteousness to have all these things added to you?

Yes or No?

Jesus of Nazareth said these words as it is written, Matthew 5:6, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”

Act 22:8, "And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you persecute."
