The truth will set you free…

Promise divine which never can fail…

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free...John 8:31-32

The truth will set you free from the lie you do not need Jesus, that stealing is not sin, that bearing false witness is not sin, that coveting is not sin, that adultery is not sin, that not honoring your dad or mom is not sin, that murder is not sin, that blaspheming is not sin, or idolatry is not sin…that you do not need Jesus…to have other gods…that not loving your neighbor is not a sin.

Jesus is the Truth which sets us free from evil…

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me...John 14:6.

Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead so you and I could be free to practice all the good God intended us to fulfill our plan and purpose. You do not have to lie…steal…murder…covet…commit adultery…blaspheme…ignore your mom and dad’s needs…commit idolatry…have other sources (gods)…you can live your life and love your neighbor as yourself and be blessed for it. You do not have to out scheme your neighbor you can be free to love your neighbor because Jesus died and was raised from the dead.

Jesus died and was raised so Christians are free to love God and our neighbor…

Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law...Romans 13:8-10.

Have you fulfilled the Law by loving God and your neighbor as yourself…yes or no?

Prayer

Father please forgive us for not loving You or our neighbors as ourselves and help us to begin to love…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

We must recover some from the devil’s snare with the truth but not get snared…

Develop a Character fit for teaching God’s truth…

And the Lord's servant must not strive (be contentious), but be gentle towards all, apt (able) to teach, forbearing (being patient), in meekness (obedience) correcting them that oppose themselves (reprove or rebuke); if peradventure (perhaps) God may give them (grant) repentance unto the knowledge of the truth, and they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him unto his will...2 Timothy 2:24-26.

…To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. They profess that they know God; but by their works they deny him, being abominable (refuses to come to Christ way to be cleansed), and disobedient (rebellious), and unto every good work reprobate (without faithfulness)...Titus 1:15-16.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places...Ephesians 6:12.

…but shun (avoid…stay away from) foolish questionings (capable of choosing but ask questions instead of choosing to obey the truth), and genealogies, and strife, and fighting (quarrelling…debating) about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A factious (heretic…sows division) man after a first and second admonition refuse; knowing that such a one is perverted, and sins, being self-condemned...Titus 3:9-11.

If they are not a Christian then we are teaching those caught up in the devil’s doctrine how to untangle themselves from the lies they have been taught through philosophies or their heritage or their teachers...

In the above scriptures…we see people are carried away by forces or teachers that are controlling them…and as a teacher or Christian which cares about their soul, we must reprove them without erring in obedience to the truth. Christians believe the words from scriptures are pure and must be held in the highest esteem even obeyed through the point of death. Many do not believe the words from the New Testament are pure and inspired or are from God Himself. We must develop a character which remains pure while leading other to the truth of God’s word.

Prayer

Father please create my conscience and renew the truth in me help me to be obedient not rebellious or silly…please meet my soul’s deepest needs for not being a heretic or false teacher but a faithful Christian…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

A simple test to see if you despise/hate God or love/hold to God…

Simple Test

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one (Jesus), and love the other (world); or else he will hold to one (Jesus), and despise the other (world). You cannot serve God and mammon (this world)...Matthew 6:24.

Who do you do it for? Love your neighbor as yourself…

  1. Do you despise the lust of the flesh…Do you hate the lust of the flesh…or do you gratify the lust of the flesh by holding to it or loving the flesh more than God?

  2. Do you despise the lust of the eyes…Do you hate the lust of the eyes…or do you satisfy the lusts of your eyes…Do you hold to the lust of the eyes more than God…thinking you are blessed with what you see or Do you love the lust of the eyes thinking you are blessed because you have what your eyes see?

  3. Do you despise yourself…Do you hate yourself…or do you put yourself second and your brothers third and your neighbors fourth? Or Do you put self-last and sacrifice to serve God? Do you love your neighbor or do you love yourself… Do you despise having to help your neighbor or do you rejoice in God is using you to be an avenue of grace towards your neighbor? Are you sharing what God has given you or do you charge for God’s will to be done?

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vainglory (the self-glory) of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abides forever...1 John 2:15-17…

…Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled...Matthew 5:6...

…Owe no man anything, save to love one another: for he that loveth his neighbor hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: love therefore is the fulfilment of the law...Romans 13:8-10…

…For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil: which some reaching after have been led astray from the faith, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness...1 Timothy 6:10-11.

Prayer

Father please forgive and convert me from the love of the world…or holding on to the world…that I may learn to put You first and serve You and be blessed…please change my heart and mind and direction so that I may be fit for heaven my home…I truly have nothing but You…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
