Jesus is the light of life…have you asked Him to light you up?

Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to Me shall not hunger, and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst...John 6:35. but whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life...John 4:14. for the truth's sake which abides in us, and it shall be with us forever...2 John 1:2.

Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed Him, If ye abide in my word, then are you truly my disciples; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free...John 8:31-32. Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light...Matthew 11:28-30. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by Me...John 14:6.

Jesus will be your supply of the truth…the bread of life…living bread and of living water that flows freely from Him. This sound like good news…yes or no? Or do you want to walk in the world of lies and darkness…yes or no? Jesus will fill your cup with all the truth you can handle all you have to do is practice the truth…will you practice the truth…yes or no?

Prayer

Father please fill our cups with the truth and feed us the bread of life until we are like Jesus and please meet our soul’s deepest needs…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Everyone says Jesus loves me…but how do you love Jesus…

Listen to what is written Jesus said… If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments...John 14:15.

So if we want to return the love Jesus has for us then what are His commandments…

As it is written… Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? And He (Jesus) said unto him, You shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second like unto it is this, You shalt love thy neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments the whole law hangs, and the prophets...Matthew 22:36-40.

Jesus taught us many great things but the one thing you want to get right is to love God by obeying His commandments…with all of your heart, mind, and strength. When a Jewish ruler asked Jesus how to inherit eternal life Jesus asked if he kept the ten commandments…As it is written…

And behold, one came to him and said, Teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why asks thou me concerning that which is good? One there is who is good: but if thou would enter into life, keep the commandments...Matthew 19:16-17.

…He saith unto him, Which? And Jesus said, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honor thy father and thy mother; and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I observed: what lack I yet...Matthew 19:18-20?

When asked Jesus said we could worship God any day of the week not just on Saturday (Sabbath) by the woman at the well…the commandment to keep the Sabbath day holy was so you would not have to offer a sin sacrifice by breaking one of the other nine commandments. After the cross we now go to church on Sunday the first day of the week by a commandment…and still must keep ourselves Holy by keeping the other nine commandments… But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for such doth the Father seek to be his worshippers. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth...John 4:23-24.

As it is written… Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I gave order to the churches of Galatia, so also do ye. Upon the first day of the week let each one of you lay by him in store, as he may prosper, that no collections be made when I come...1 Corinthians 16:1-2. If you keep the Ten Commandments by loving God with all of heart, mind, and strength then you are walking in Spirit and Truth and able to worship God not only on the Sabbath day every day, if you have sinned then you must repent and seek reconciliation then walk in Spirit and Truth again, but Christian congregations were told to meet on Sunday after the cross.

Prayer

Please help us have the morality of the Ten Commandments and help us walk in Spirit and Truth so we may worship you and be accepted…please meet our soul’s deepest needs and heal our sinful pasts…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Do not be deceived no lie is of the truth…

My little children, let no man lead you astray: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous: he that doeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. To this end was the Son of God manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil...1 John 3:7-8. For the mystery of lawlessness doth already work: only there is one that restrains now, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of His mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of His coming; even he, whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness...2 Thessalonians 2:7-12. Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour...1 Peter 5:8. Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you...James 4:7.

Are of the liar or do you practice the truth? How many lies did you tell yesterday…? 0…Always telling the truth and practicing the truth is where salvation and faithfulness begin. Jesus Christ is the source of all truth…He is the truth and has no part in a lie. He saves liars by teaching them to practice the truth….to tell the truth. It is better to say I do not know than to make up an answer…it is better to remain silent than to speak a lie. Liars do not go to heaven they have a place reserved in the lake of fire and brimstone. So do not be deceived the moment a person tells you a lie you cannot trust them to be a Christian… And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever...Revelation 20:10.

Prayer

Father our Creator God please help us be filled with the truth and to never lie…please supply our needs for the truth so we can walk with Jesus in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
