Is Jesus your ride or die?

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's (good news), the same shall save it…Mark 8:34-35…

…Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abides forever...1 John 2:15-17.

…be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life...Revelation 2:10.

I don’t know about you but a free trip to heaven sounds really good but Jesus has to be your ride or die. When I was baptized into Jesus’ death burial and resurrection, I was willing to die right there and go to heaven, I even let out my air. I still wake up with the attitude of a ride or die for Jesus. I am prepared to say I believe in Jesus with at the face of death…if they pull the trigger then we will be seeing Jesus in Heaven or Jesus will protect us…Is Jesus your ride or die?

Are you willing to forsake all that is in this world…the lust of the flesh…the lust of the eyes…the pride in life and follow Jesus even in the face of death…yes or no?

Have you been baptized…yes or no? Will you be baptized…yes or no?

Prayer

Father please forgive our sins and help us be fully converted to Your Son and the Kingdom of God so we will not love this world but be willing to die for our faith in Jesus and waiver not…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

You cannot have religion without God’s word…how will you relate to God without the Holy Bible?

But what think ye? A man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to-day in the vineyard. And he answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented himself, and went. And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. Which of the two did the will of his father? They say, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, that the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John (the Baptist) came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not; but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye saw it, did not even repent yourselves afterward, that ye might believe him...Matthew 21:28-32

The religion authorities did not believe John the Baptist and many of the leaders were in need of change. Even today many religious leaders teach false ideas…for example many teach you do not have to be baptized…but Jesus said He that believes and is baptized will be saved…have you been baptized…yes or no? Are you faithfully obeying Jesus teaching to reflect your baptism into Jesus’ death burial and resurrection…yes or no? Will you be baptized for the remission of your sins and receive the Holy Spirit of promise…yes or no?

And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him...Acts 2:38-39

Money should be your servant not your boss…

Now at that time, one came to Him and said, "Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?" And He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except one—God. But if you desire to enter into life, keep the commandments." (Jesus seeing if he meant to call Him God or just a phrase he used) (Here is the minimum requirements of a Jew to go to heaven…)

Then he said to Him, "Which?" And Jesus said, " 'You shall not commit murder'; 'You shall not commit adultery'; 'You shall not steal'; 'You shall not bear false witness'; 'Honor your father and your mother'; and, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' " The young man said to Him, "I have kept all these things from my youth.

What do I yet lack?" Jesus said to him, "If you desire to be perfect, go and sell your property, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come and follow Me." But after hearing this word, the young man went away grieving, because he had many possessions. (would you do the same…Jesus invited him to become the 13 Apostle…but he loved his stuff more)

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Truly I say to you, it is extremely difficult for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."

But after hearing this, the disciples were greatly astonished and said, "Who then is able to be saved?" But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible”...Matthew 19:16-26

For those who desire to become rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many foolish and hurtful lusts, which cause men to sink into destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all evils; by which some, while striving after riches, were seduced from the faith, and have impaled themselves with many sorrows...1 Timothy 6:9-10.

Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moth and rust spoil, and where thieves break through and steal; But store up treasures for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust spoils, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also...Matthew 6:19-21.

How many rich folks do not love their neighbor as their own selves…How many rich folks wake up and think how can I gain treasure in Heaven today instead of having their mind on their money and their money on their mind? Really we should ask how much do I keep instead of how much do I give…

Prayer

Father please help us to not love money and meet our soul’s deepest needs so we may prosper in your kingdom and be in health…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
