Jesus said Judge not unless you be judged by your same judgement, meaning if you do not forgive you cannot be forgiven because your judgement is forgiveness should be limited...so your forgiveness is bound by your mercy as Jesus said blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.
Mat 5:7Â Blessed are the merciful, for they shall find mercy.
Mat 7:1-2Â Do not condemn others, so that you yourself will not be condemned; Â 2Â For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged; and with what measure you mete out, it shall be measured again to you.
Mat 6:5-15Â And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, in order that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward. Â 6Â But you, when you pray, enter into a private room; and after shutting the door, pray to your Father Who is in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret shall reward you openly. Â 7Â And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions, as the heathen do; for they think that by multiplying their words they shall be heard. Â 8Â Now then, do not be like them; for your Father knows what things you have need of before you ask Him. Â 9Â Therefore, you are to pray after this manner: 'Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name; Â 10Â Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven; Â 11Â Give us this day our daily bread; Â 12Â And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors; Â 13Â And lead us not into temptation, but rescue us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.' Â 14Â For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Â 15Â But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
