Money should be your servant not your boss…

Now at that time, one came to Him and said, "Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?" And He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except one—God. But if you desire to enter into life, keep the commandments." (Jesus seeing if he meant to call Him God or just a phrase he used) (Here is the minimum requirements of a Jew to go to heaven…)

Then he said to Him, "Which?" And Jesus said, " 'You shall not commit murder'; 'You shall not commit adultery'; 'You shall not steal'; 'You shall not bear false witness'; 'Honor your father and your mother'; and, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' " The young man said to Him, "I have kept all these things from my youth.

What do I yet lack?" Jesus said to him, "If you desire to be perfect, go and sell your property, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come and follow Me." But after hearing this word, the young man went away grieving, because he had many possessions. (would you do the same…Jesus invited him to become the 13 Apostle…but he loved his stuff more)

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Truly I say to you, it is extremely difficult for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."

But after hearing this, the disciples were greatly astonished and said, "Who then is able to be saved?" But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible”...Matthew 19:16-26

For those who desire to become rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many foolish and hurtful lusts, which cause men to sink into destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all evils; by which some, while striving after riches, were seduced from the faith, and have impaled themselves with many sorrows...1 Timothy 6:9-10.

Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moth and rust spoil, and where thieves break through and steal; But store up treasures for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust spoils, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also...Matthew 6:19-21.

How many rich folks do not love their neighbor as their own selves…How many rich folks wake up and think how can I gain treasure in Heaven today instead of having their mind on their money and their money on their mind? Really we should ask how much do I keep instead of how much do I give…

Prayer

Father please help us to not love money and meet our soul’s deepest needs so we may prosper in your kingdom and be in health…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

How many times do you forgave someone who asks…

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven...Matthew 18:21-22

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity (love), which is the bond of perfectness...Colossians 3:12-14.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God...Matthew 5:7-9.

How can a person live with no forgiveness in their life…this is a sin that will send you to hell…not forgiving others. I have to be forgiven by God and continuously cleansed…how then can I refuse someone who asks me to forgive them? I do not want Jesus to call me unmerciful on the day of Judgement, do you? How many people will not seek reconciliation and forgiveness…how many people on the Day of Judgement will be held in account for not asking others to forgive them…I imagine everyone which wears the name of Christian asks God…but how many quarrels in church will be quenched if we went to others and let them know we need their forgiveness too…?

Jesus told Peter to forgive 70 x 7… to a brother which asks for forgiveness this many times. You ever had a guy lie to you every day…and you forgive him every day. Imagine Jesus hearing everyone in prayer telling Him what they are going to do but never doing it. We expect Jesus to forgive us when we fall short of fulfilling our word…will you forgive others for not fulfilling their word…yes or no? Perhaps they have a short memory and cannot remember what they had said…perhaps circumstances changed and they can no longer supply the fruit of their words…Jesus said forgive them each time they asked. This is one thing I can say…I have never denied forgiveness to anyone who asked and I hope you can say the same. Perhaps we should say I got no limits for forgiveness but limit your presence in my life to some people who refuse to change.

I fear Jesus judgement so when I ask Jesus for forgiveness, I expect to be forgiven…so I have always forgiven those which asked me…will or do you do the same…yes or no? Jesus said blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy. In fact in difficult sins or trauma I started telling myself I forgave them because it puts the act in the past…buried and forgaven. I used to say forgive every time you remember the trauma until you remember it no more…but now I say forgave the trauma every time you remember the trauma or the act. Have you offered forgaveness to those you did you wrong…when you “forgave” you find healing.

If I have ever offended you then will you forgave me…and Jesus heal us both and make us whole…yes or no?

Prayer

Father please have mercy for we deserve none…we have all sinned and come short of Your perfection of Glory…create in us a heart willing to forgive so we can be healed of those which hurt us…by forgiving the trauma done…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Do people have the Spirit of Jesus or of the Accuser…?

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them...Matthew 7:15-20.

If all they do is accuse you of not being good enough…if all they remind you of is your unworthiness….if all they do is accuse you of not being Christian…then are they Christians themselves…yes or no? The accuser is always accusing you of having a speck in your eye…and offer no way to remove it!

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholds thou the mote (speck of dust) that is in thy brother's eye, but considers not the beam (log) that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote (speck of imperfection) out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam (large imperfection) is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam (large imperfection) out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote (speck) out of thy brother's eye. Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you...Matthew 7:2-6.

So even if you are a Christian…stop being a spectator beholding the speck in another’s eyes instead offer encouragement on how to change and be better. It is easy to point out flaws but which is better and not bitter…pointing out flaws or offering an encouragement of how to do better. I mean if a brother blasts you for your behavior saying repent…but offers no prescription on how to do or be better then what has he done but be an accuser. So if you tear down a sister or brother do not forget to build up on how to overcome. If you do not personally know how to overcome…then it would be of none concern of you. Jesus said get it out of your eye then you can help others get the speck out their eye.

Prayer

Father please give me the fix…the prescription remedy and cure for my soul’s deepest needs of freedom from this world…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
