What person can beat their chest or say I am righteous to God

He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth Jehovah require of thee, but to do justly, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with thy God...Micah 6:8?

And he spake also this parable unto certain who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and set all others at nought: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week; I give tithes of all that I get. But the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God, be thou merciful to me a sinner. I say unto you, This man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; but he that humbleth himself shall be exalted...Luke 18:9-14.

What person can beat their chest or say I am righteous to God?

Even so ye also, when ye shall have done all the things that are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which it was our duty to do...Luke 17:10. We are truly unprofitable servants of God because we require the blood of Jesus Christ to forgive us our sins or evil deeds. None is righteous for all have sinned and fallen short of the Perfection or Glory of God. Jesus imputed righteousness is our only claim to heaven. May we all be humble and walk in the Light as Jesus is in the light so we can be continually cleansed of our wrongs.

Prayer

Father we are but unprofitable servants please forgive us and equip us to serve You and Your only Son Jesus and meet our soul’s deepest needs and heal our bodies…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

About Jesus of Nazareth…

but of the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever; And the sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows...Hebrews 1:8-9. though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered; and having been made perfect, he became unto all them that obey him the author of eternal salvation...Hebrews 5:8-9. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him...John 3:16-17. and he is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world. And hereby we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him...1 John 2:2-4.

Do you know God’s only Son Jesus the Christ of Nazareth…yes or no? Have you died to yourself and are living for Jesus after being baptized? Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead after having offered himself as a sacrifice for sin in the atoning work of salvation. Jesus is the propitiation or forever atoning sacrifice for our sinful or evil deeds.  All we who have been baptized need to do is stop our evil or sinful deeds and confess our sins and we have reconciliation with God our Father. Are you faithful to Jesus you staying in the will and working of God by keeping the commandments…Jesus answered, The first is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, the Lord is one (Authority) : and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. The second is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these....Mark 12:29-31.

Prayer

Father please forgive us and grant us repentance unto the confession of our evil or sinful deeds and meet our soul’s deepest needs and heal us from our own sinful pasts…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Many when asked are you going to Heaven when you die say I hope so…

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time...1 Peter 1:3-5.

And every one that hath this hope set on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure...1 John 3:3.

For in hope were we saved: but hope that is seen is not hope: for who hopeth for that which he seeth? But if we hope for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered; and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God...Romans 8:24-27.

Hanging on patiently every day in Christ Jesus our Lord

We have an eternal hope of living in Christ here on earth and when we die in heaven above. Hope has two ingredients a desire and an expectation. We desire heaven and its rewards and expect by our faith to receive an entrance into Heaven. Our faithful obedience to the word of God increases our hope of rewards. We can know we have loved God and our neighbor by our deeds and prayers. Are you a living hope of entering into heaven? Many say when asked are you going to heaven I hope so. This does not disqualify our faith in our obedience to Jesus but by the desire and expectation we wait for our Lord to return in Judgement or our death to depart and be with Him.
