Family roles in Christ…

Wives, be in subjection unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord…

(Wives the decision for a Christian family is left up to the man…pray God will be done through him and if he an unbeliever then set the proper example…and trust God will be done…)

…wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, even if any obey not the word, they may without the word be gained by the behavior of their wives; beholding your chaste (sincere or honest) behavior coupled with fear…to the end that your prayers be not hindered. (1Pe 3:1-7 ASV)

(In case the man is a hypocrite or an unbeliever…never trust him with your salvation…best you can do is pray and set a good example…you cannot keep him from choosing evil or sin…but you can influence him for Jesus by setting a proper example and praying for him and your children…you and I are not qualified to save him only Jesus the Christ is qualified to redeem him and you…so trust in Christ not your husband at all times.)

…For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, being himself the savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their husbands in everything…

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church…

…and gave Himself up for it; that He might sanctify it (be willing to protect her from physical death so she can lead your children to heaven even if you die physically), having cleansed it (the people in the church family) by the washing of water with the word (reading the word of God or hearing the Word), that He might present the church to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (teach your wife the truth in the New Testament and help her be spotless before God through example and teaching God’s word) Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loves his own wife loves himself (love Jesus more than any but love your wife as the most important on earth and Jesus the most important period): for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also the church; because we are members of His body…(the church of Christ Romans 16:16)

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is great: but I speak in regard of Christ and of the church…

…Nevertheless do you also severally love each one his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she fear her husband. (Eph 5:22-33 ASV)… (Husbands love your wives and wives respect your husbands…you are not qualified to pay her sins or to free her from hell only Jesus is…so set the proper example with prayer and deeds obeying Jesus first her will second…as yourself if you were in her shoes)

…Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right…

…Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise), that it may be well with thee, and you mayest live long on the earth. And, you fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening (discipline) and admonition (encouragement) of the Lord. (Eph 6:1-4 ASV) (children obey Jesus first…then mom and dad second if there is a conflict…just as mom and dad are supposed to obey Jesus first)

Prayer for families…

Father who is heaven please heal our families and cancel all evil within each family…please meet our souls deepest needs and instruct us with the truth…help us set an good example and have the trust in our prayer to You for salvation and the right ways of Your only Fathered Son Jesus Christ…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen (Acts 20:7-8).

When you take a wrong tun in life want to end up right…ask Jesus for directions…

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

First part of being right…is wanting to be right…Jesus said we are blessed if want to be right more than we want to eat…

Matthew 9:12-13 But when he heard it, he said, they that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick. 13 But go ye and learn what this means, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice: for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

Jesus of Nazareth died and was raised from the dead so you could never choose a wrong or evil thing again…and He died and was raised so all your wrong or evil deeds can be forgiven and cleansed…He is the Great Physician that freely gives the prescription…remedy…and cure for all your soul’s deepest needs…

Matthew 23:23-24 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye tithe mint and anise and cummin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy, and faith: but these ye ought to have done, and not to have left the other undone. 24 Ye blind guides, that strain out the gnat, and swallow the camel!

Jesus warned the religious leaders of his day…it is about how you treat people…that a sacrifice is showing mercy…instead of vengeance…justice…treating people just or like yourself…faith…God is a rewarder of those whom diligently seek Him…

Matthew 5:23-26 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison. 26 Truly, I say to you, you will never get out until you have paid the last penny.

You look everyone in the eye especially Jesus? Are you right with your fellow man and God? Jesus died so you could make all your wrongs right…and will forgive you and cleanse you from the bad associated with it…if you confess and forsake it…

Father please show us mercy and increase our hunger and thirst for being right with You…please give us the prescription…remedy…and cure…for all our needs and health…In Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

When you take a wrong tun in life want to end up right…ask Jesus for directions…

Seek you first…things first…

Jesus said these words found recorded in the New Testament of Christ…

You shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment…

In all of the greatest things a man can Do is put Jesus first place in your life…all any soul can do is what is right by God first then fellow man…once the Truth has been revealed…

But seek you first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof….

God does not give us a command we cannot obey…God commandments are not grievous…Jesus gives a light and easy yoke…if Jesus says you cannot lie then He supplies the way not to lie…God always supplies what is needed to fulfill His command…

Judge not, that you be not judged.  For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured unto you.  And why behold you the mote that is in your brother's eye, but consider not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt you say to your brother, Let me cast out the mote out of thine eye; and lo, the beam is in thine own eye? You hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt you see clearly to cast out the mote out of your brother's eye…

We must first get ourselves right with God before we entertain others salvation…

If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother hath aught against you, leave there your gift before the altar, and go your way, first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift...

God says to be right with Him…you got to be right with your brethren…your fellowman…cab you shake any man’s hand and look them in the eye or you done someone dirty…need to make it right…Sometimes God will not hear us until we do the right thing…

You shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second like unto it is this, You shalt love your neighbor as yourself.  On these two commandments the whole law hangs, and the prophets.

Father, please remove anything between us and You and may we always be faithful in the Truth…In Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
