Can you simple believe and have eternal life or does it involve obedience too…

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world...John 11:25-27.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity...Matthew 7:21-23.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it...Matthew 7:24-27.

Jesus said if you believe He is the Son of God then you will live and not die, but He also said not everyone that calls Him Lord will enter into the kingdom of God but only those who do the Father will in heaven and if you practice His teachings you will be wise unto salvation. We cannot live without obeying the only Son of God…we have to do the Father’s will by practicing what Jesus taught us. Many today say you do not have to be baptized in order to be saved…these folks are calling Jesus a liar and do you think they are pleasing to the Father because Jesus said He that believes and is baptized will be saved but he who does not believe (Jesus is the only Son of God) will be damned…Mark 16:16. Have you been baptized…yes or no?

Prayer

Father please meet our souls deepest needs so we may prosper and be in health as our soul prospers…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
